Gina and coach @e_scanlon_ showing two variations of several movements from class today! Can’t do strict chin ups? Try a modified rig pull up with feet elevated on a box. Can’t do high rep push ups? Try them elevated with a bar on the rig. There are ALWAYS modifications that can be made for any movement. You don’t have to beat yourself up if you don’t have the strength or mobility to perform a specific movement. Reaaaaaally like this drill! Can’t take credit I stole this from @davedurante . This is pushing my limits a little bit, as I was was straining to keep my legs straight and not shifting shoulders forward. And you can see that it is slightly more difficult on one side than the other. Try this out! Start far from the wall and slowly progress closer and closer. Med ball throws against the wall are a great rotational core exercise. Also, fun history fact about the term “balls to the wall”: ...The expression comes from the world of military aviation. In many planes, control sticks are topped with a ball-shaped grip. One such control is the throttle—to get maximum power you push it all the way forward, to the front of the cockpit, or firewall (so-called because it prevents an engine fire from reaching the rest of the plane). Another control is the joystick—pushing it forward sends a plane into a dive. So, literally pushing the balls to the (fire)wall would put a plane into a maximum-speed dive, and figuratively going balls to the wall is doing something all-out, with maximum effort.
