My third climb to Angels Landing at @zionnps. It’s one of the @nationalparkservice’s most dangerous but most rewarding hikes. At its steepest incline, this chain is the only thing separating you from the summit and the canyon floor. at Angels Landing - Zion National Park

Hiking the emerald pools at Zion. at Zion National Park

Nature’s golden arches. Perfection. at Bryce Canyon National Park

Hiking through a maze of hoodoos today. at Bryce Canyon National Park

After hiking nine miles through the desert, this was the prize at the end. A true oasis. at Lower Calf Creek Falls

Around every bend a new scene awaits. at Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

Beneath the surface of the earth lies a very authentic place. I feel so grateful to have been given access to these protected Navajo lands. at Lower Antelope Canyon

If you can’t push through it, then go around it. at Horseshoe Bend

Leave only footprints. Take only memories. at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

I found the perfect place to live my antisocial life. at Springville Canyon

Enjoying some holiday weekend driving and flying. at East Rock

Counting down the days until I’m hiking these natural arches again. I took this photo of Corona Arch on our last trip. Corona is located just outside of Arches National Park in an area without restricted air space, so I’m definitely getting my drone in the air here to capture some aerials. at Moab, Utah

“The glacier was here in 1982.” A reminder of the change taking place on our planet. I took this photo in September while hiking to the largest icefield in the Canadian Rockies. #earthday at Columbia Icefield

Today kicks of National Parks Week and it’s got me reflecting on past visits and looking forward to new adventures. The next few months I’ll be doing quite the tour — hitting up Utah’s Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Capital Reef and Canyonlands — and Alaska’s Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords, Gates of the Arctic, and of course Denali. Here’s a photo I previously took at Bryce Canyon National Park. I can’t wait to get back outside to explore more. It’s my favorite thing to do. at Bryce Canyon National Park

The Saugerties Lighthouse will soon be completely engulfed by rising waters. Hurricanes Irene and Sandy deluged this rustic landmark almost to the point of submersion. It is expected that by 2050 a similar storm surge would completely overtake the structure and surrounding lands. at Saugerties Lighthouse

Some very wintry hikes this weekend led us to some majestic frozen waterfalls. Kaaterskill was the best of all. at Kaaterskill Falls

The summit is just the halfway point. at Provo Canyon

Sweet valley high. at Utah Valley
