@formgestalter makes our gallery more and more amazing👌 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our fifth question: Do you have any advice you want to share with us? @formgestalter "My advice is that gear doesn't matter. It's all about special memories and adventures. You can create something special just with the help of your devices camera. It depends more on the atmosphere, like soft light, sunrise or foggy mood." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ ☝️True words! DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured

100% shot by @formgestalter 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Our fourth question: What motivates you to continue doing what you’re doing? @formgestalter "I'm motivated by all the support through different social media platforms and especially when people say they went to place just because they saw this in one of my images." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Let us know your thoughts in the comments😉 DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured at Lünersee

Another terrific shot by @formgestalter He is our new community member. 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our third question: What are you trying to communicate through your photographs? @formgestalter "I started with sharing my photographs here on this app to motivate others to go outside and explore nature. You don't have to travel to fancy destinations to capture some unique moments, sometimes the best things are just around your corner. ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ ☝️That's true! Enjoy it :) ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our first question: What do you do for a living and how do you integrate photography in your daily life? @formgestalter "Hi, I'm André Alexander, a part time travel and outdoor photographer from bavaria/Germany based in Nuremberg. Born and living near the mountains I've got a special relationship for alpine sports. I love being outdoors - that's what my life is largely about." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Sounds great! Unfortunately another wonderful week goes to an end. Huge thanks to @abakidod for your breathtaking photos and answers. :) If you love the last 5 photos, you have to check out his whole gallery and don't forget to show some love. 🤗 Hope you enjoyed this week with us and feel free to leave a feedback :) 👇Mini interview (last question)👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ What does freedom mean to you? @abakidod "Instagram is full of pseudo-philosophical quotes like "mountains are freedom", "I'm free when I'm outside", and etc. I don't think a person is free in the mountains - instead he/she is in the strict, not forgiving, unpredictable, and dangerous environment with no freedom for mistakes. From other side, many people lack the freedom of speech, the freedom of move, many girls are not free to choose whom to marry and don't have the freedom to do what they'd like to do. Freedom for me is the world without human-created violence, without hatred, with equal rights, with health and basic services available for all, and no poverty or hunger." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ 👉Use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured or write us a DM at Iceland

@abakidod makes our gallery more and more interesting👌 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our fifth question: Do you have any advice you want to share with us? @abakidod "As banal as it wouldn't sound, "live your life now!". Does not mean you have to quit your job and start travelling. Just take the maximum of your time, and invest in something you like or always wanted to do, but never managed to." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ ☝️True words! 100% shot by @abakidod 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Our fourth question: What motivates you to continue doing what you’re doing? @abakidod "It is sometimes hard to find a motivation to post photos on instagram (because there are too many other photographers who do a much better job than me, and very few people read the captions), but going out and taking photos has never been under question. I find photography a bit similar to computer science. You have limited time and you need to find an optimal solution for perfect composition/timing/camera parameters and etc. I think what drives me is the desire to take those perfect images - I might be coming back to the same spot over and over again, trying to capture it in the best way (but still getting less than satisfying results :)). I also like the planning phase. Sometimes I go with no idea of what I'll see. Sometimes, I'll try to picture photo in my head based on maps, other images from the same area, and my imagination. Sometimes, I have an image in my mind, I go out, and I return with completely different photo, and that's another fun part of it - unpredictability of life." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Let us know your thoughts in the comments😉 DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured at Dolomiti

Another breathtaking shot by @abakidod He is our new community member. 👇mini interview👇 (you shoud read it 😉) ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our third question: What are you trying to communicate through your photographs? @abakidod "In ideal case, I'd certainly like to communicate something more practical, but at the moment probably, some environmental awareness, beauty of universe, micro adventure lifestyle (well, easy when you live in the alps, but I think one can find micro weekend adventures anywhere on Earth). I've started with a bit of alpinism by looking at alpinism photos of simple girl, who didn't look much different than me. So, I thought, "if she can, why can't I" ? And, once you have an aim and an example, it is not difficult anymore. I hope to inspire some other people to dare more, not to seek any excuses, and enjoy the present. One more thing I'm trying to communicate is that it is not easy to be a photographer - landscape photographer in my case. I'm always trying to take photos from unique angles (or at unique times - e.g. at night). If you'd search on instagram, you could find almost identically-looking photos from many very popular viewpoints. I don't like that. Or taking more or less cliche photos, that are so popular on instagram. Feeding animals/birds (please, don't feed wildlife!), person on the road (why on Earth a person would be standing in the middle of the road ?) and many more. ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Wow, what a great and inspiring answer! Thanks so much for taking time to write this. The thing with the famous places is true, we should try to post more photos from unfamous places or guys what do you think? 🙃 For a chance to become a new community member and get featured DM us or use #earthisunique at Iceland

@abakidod is our featured photographer for the whole week. Read our mini interview to know more about his passion to photography :) ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Our second question: When and why did you start with photography? @abakidod "Photography was always with me, since I bought my first DSLR camera on my first paycheck, maybe some 13 years ago. I never took it too seriously though. I was reading online many articles, taking photos, processing photos, reading more, and trying more again. I always was going to the mountains mainly to take photos, rather than for pure physical exercise, but I didn't have much money, or time (or just didn't live the moment), until around 1.5 year ago, when I finished my PhD and stared the "normal" job.  Also I think joining instagram (e.g. daily browsing for many photos and a small competitive factor of it) boosted my photography skills to a new level." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️"▪▫️▪ What a nice answer👌 DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured at El Chaltén

Photography (both hardware and software) was small part of my job during my PhD in biological lab, and I did study "visual computing" for my masters - e.g. image processing and computational photography algorithms, but now photography is weekend and vacation activity. I live in Switzerland with very easy access to the beautiful mountains, and quite happy about it. It is even sometimes possible to reach for the mountains after (or before) work." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ That's great! Have you ever visited Switzerland? Another inspiring week goes to an end. Huge thanks to @jack_anstey for your wonderful photos and answers. @jack_anstey "Freedom is being able to be comfortable in who you are and what you do. It's the easiest thing in the world to be kind and friendly to people you meet, and yet so many people spend their time spreading hatred and anger. One small act of kindness can make someone's day and cause positive ripples throughout their life. Be humble and be nice." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ 👉Use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured or write us a DM at Skógafoss

No matter how insignificant that movement is, just make progress." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ ☝️True words! DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured at Kirkjufell

100% shot by @jack_anstey 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪ Our fourth question: What motivates you to continue doing what you’re doing? @jack_anstey "As cheesy as it sounds, it's the people I've met through photography. Almost every trip I go on we end up with a solid crew of people, where there's some links but about half of them are new faces; it's always an absolute blast and it's a great way to make new friends. This runs all the way down to the people who message me, whether by email or instagram message, I really like the social aspect of the entire thing. You really wouldn't believe how happy I am if someone messages telling me that they've been somewhere because they saw my photo, or messages asking for advice whilst travelling." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Sounds so awesome😊 Let us know your thoughts in the comments😉 DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured

Another incredible shot by @jack_anstey He is our new community member. 👇mini interview👇 ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ Our third question: What are you trying to communicate through your photographs? @jack_anstey "What I am to share is the beauty and wonder of the natural world. I love inspiring people to get out and see the world around them; way too many people spend their entire life sat on the sofa watching other people live their lives, and that's just not what it's about. " ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️ What a wonderful answer! This is our mission. We want to inspire people to go out in the nature and see the beauty of our unique earth. As I grew older and started to value nature more, I began spending more and more of my time in the wilder places of the UK my camera came along with me. After I graduated university I was able to dedicate a lot more of my time to travel and photography, and it's since then that things have really taken off." ▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️▪▫️"▪▫️▪ Wow an epic shot 👌 DM us or use #earthisunique for a chance to be featured at Seljalandsfoss
