Quick little video during our tree-hunting excursion today. Details I love: 1. Quinn finding a “Charlie Brown tree”, i.e. a lil branch. 2. Laying-down Larkin in the sled, slapping her mittened hand when Lucy isn’t going fast enough. (Like, “COME ON, sister!!” 3. Lucy’s problem-solving to get a better handle on the Larkin-heavy sled. 4. Lucy’s totally bright, genuine smile right as the video cuts off. 💕
How about a funny throwback to December 2016, when Larkin was only three months old and NOT HAVING IT? I think I might print this for my Christmas decoration collection.
Also these. Overall twins, after I brushed her hair. 😅 has got both of these sets of overalls from Vintage Market Days, different years. They’re authentic farmer overalls, and I love them!
So happy with my fresh Trader Joe’s pine cone wreath. I added a cute bow from Target and it smells so good and looks so festive and it’s just really making me smile. 🎄❤️🎄
Just taking a minute. Still in the chill zone of the day.
#lighttheworld Day 2 suggests we tell folks about someone who exhibits Christlike love. And I can’t think of anyone more selfless than my own sweet husband, Joe. This guy works so hard every day, comes home and immediately dives into the family mayhem, and lightens my burdens so many times. He does the dishes every night without comment or complaint. He is steady and strong, but also fun and funny. My kids are learning loyalty and devotion from him, as well as gaining a pretty sweet pop culture vocabulary/awareness thanks to his love of LEGO, Marvel, Star Wars, Beatles, technology, and other cool things. He is a family man, through and through, and never asks for more than that... and that is a beautiful thing to me. Sure love you, Joe. Thanks for all of it. ❤️
My Monday morning starter kit: couch, bullet journal for planning, book club book (due in 4 days), bag o’ pens and markers, notepad for grocery listing, breakfast drink, and the remote control for Larkin’s viewing (currently “Tangled”). Here we go, December 2-8!
Whew!!!!! November, you tried to kill me. But also, you gave me so so many unforgettable moments, so I forgive you. Thank you for the concerts and the broadway show. Thank you for the family time and the laughter. Thank you for the movies and the snowflakes and the mild, beautiful end-of-autumn days. Thank you for the abundance, if not of time, then of so so many other things. December, let’s seek some stillness— whaddaya say?? 😅🤪 #onesecondeveryday
Last one- just us girls. ❤️🎄
A cute one of my chilly-but-handsome boys.
Just getting in the photos this morning too, with my cute girl.
My folks and the grandkiddos. A Thanksgiving miracle, because everyone is looking at the camera and any weird faces being made are also cute so they’re forgiven. 😅😂
Alice and her mama, my baby sister Kirsten, in their matching hats. I may have begged Kirsten to make Larkin one just after taking this photo. #shameless
I’m so in love with my niece Alice. She’s one year younger than Larkin and SO smart and cute. Also stylish, even at a chilly tree farm. 😍
“Hey kids! Let’s take a photo over here by that cute vintage car!” Kids, in their hearts, “oh mahhhhhh gahhhhhh Mohhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄.” Still, they mostly rallied. ( #lucytho )
Well these fascinated me! Thanks, late-autumn, for still having treasures! 🍂🍁🌾
Dad heater. Really, yes it was pretty chilly... but still fun. I swear! 😂 #joeammon
