First of all I want to say a massive congratulations to everyone who took part, and send my thoughts to those who weren't able to cross the line. St. John's Ambulance were absolutely amazing throughout and were there the second that people required their services. I hope all are well.
What an absolutely amazing day it was! Possibly too hot for running but EVERYONE was determined to finish. Absolutely fantastic efforts by everyone!
The day was an absolute huge success for Dementia UK with over £24,000 already raised from all who were running for Dementia UK on the day!
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me for the run, the total for online donations so far is £330 not including Gift Aid which is just amazing! I honestly cannot thank you all enough!
For those who know me I am not a runner, nor built for the sport but your donations helped me with training and getting me through the heat and pain I was experiencing on the day. My time from my chip was 2hrs 22mins 34secs which I am absolutely over the moon with!
I am still accepting donations via my Just Giving page and appreciate every single penny as it is going to such a worthy cause. Helping those families that are facing Dementia, something which is not easy to deal with in any case.
Again, thank you all so much for your donations and help to raise awareness for Dementia UK.
It means the world. at Great Manchester Run
What an amazing day today was. @tescofood have been amazing at allowing me to raise both awareness and money for @dementia_uk.
Thanks to the outstanding generosity of the people of Burnley and Tesco's customers, the total raise today was an unbelievable £362.31!! As many of you know, Dementia UK is a charity that is very close to my heart. It felt phenomenal to be able to give people the information they need to help get both their, and their loved ones lives back on track, and made that little bit easier.
Today was not easy though, constantly cycling from 10:30am - 3:30pm with minor breaks equaling a total cycling time of 4.5hours!
I can't thank everyone enough for being so generous and those who literally stood by me today to help me get through it.
It means a lot and this is only the start of my fundraising for such a great charity. I can't encourage people enough to give a small amount of their time to help charities. Honestly the best feeling ever.
