Meet Kono 💋 • Therapy Dog • Orlando, Florida • PC: @kono_in_orlando • “Swimming for sure! 😎 He loves his Flounder stuffed animal more than any other - I don’t know what it is but something is special about him! 😊🐠 He also knows what to do when that iPhone camera is pointed his way - people laugh because whenever a group of humans are taking a picture (like at Christmas), he will get up, come over, and pose his fluffy self front and center. 😂😂 #blessit #celebripuppyprobs He also forgets to use the brakes sometimes... so running on the tile, he will go sliding into the wall and such. 😂 (Or gets so excited when he sees his pawrents, he just flies into us - no personal space or planning.)” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Casner 🚔 • Berlin, Connecticut • 📸 PC: @kimcarinophotography • Team IG: @k9_casner • “That is K9 Casner who is the newest member of the Berlin CT Police Department. Casner has recently graduated the academy and is a patrol canine fighting crime with his ferocious teeth! When he’s not at work or the dentist getting his pearly whites polished, Caz spends his time annoying his big brother, retired K9 Titan, chasing anything that resembles a ball and napping- on his back of course.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Akira ⚠️ • Los Angeles, California • 📸 PC: @akira_gc_training • “Akira is a search and rescue dog trained to assist in searches for missing people. We are volunteers with two different organizations here in California. We started training when Akira was 10 months and she got certified three years later (it is a lot of work). Akira is known as an area dog and what that means is that in an specific area she is able to find any live or dead human scent. Akira loves her ball and she would do anything for it so that’s her reward. When she finds a person, she gets to play with her ball. Besides training, Akira loves water and swimming. At home she is a sweetheart. She is my velcro dog. She doesn’t like hugs too much but she has to be right next to me at all times! :)” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Always Lazarus Snape ✨ • Bradenton, Florida • 📸 PC: @the_rathaus • Emotional Support Animal • “Always Lazarus Snape was the runt of the litter but the first and only to crawl right into my shirt and cuddle up in the warm dark next to my heart. From that moment I knew he was going to be special. I’ve had many rats in my lifetime but very few earn the title of “heart rat.” As someone who suffers from depression and anxiety, having a form of unconditional love is vital. Always helps me through my illness by licking the tears from my cheeks, and letting me smother him with kisses in return. He loves being near me and just hanging out when I need a friend. His favorite thing to do is probably sleep though. Just like his mama. ❤️” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Gypsy 🔮 • Roanoke, Virginia • 📸 PC: @gypsythegreat_pyreneessd • Service Dog • “Gypsy is a 3 y/o Great Pyrenees who is a mobility, medical alert/response & psychiatric service dog to me, her handler & trainer, Anna. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a form of Muscular Dystrophy, which makes me have to use a power wheelchair all of the time because of weak muscles all over. Gypsy definitely uses her mobility tasks the most to help me, such as: retrieving & holding items, opening & closing doors and bracing — on a daily basis. She’s also important for alerting/responding to my chronic pain. ❤️ Her favorite task is bracing, she will naturally come up and get into position to brace and put pressure against me to hold me when I don’t ask her to, it’s so funny but so cute! But I guess she knows I need her! 🙃 We also compete in advanced competitive obedience and she got two firsts and reserve champion at her very first show! Her favorite thing to do, for sure, is just to run as fast as she can, be goofy and explore GIANT fields (even better if her best doggo friends are with her)! 😊🐾💕” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Donar 🚔 • Salinas, California • 📸 PC: @k9_donar • “Donar is a patrol working canine in Salinas, CA. He's trained in handler protection, area searches, building searches and tracking. He helps police officers stay safe in high risk situations and helps locate bad guys when they try to run and hide. Away from work, he's a normal dog that loves to play fetch, tug or keep away. But even at home if he hears a noise outside, he'll run to me and put himself between me and the front door. He loves to sleep on my feet but he never trusts table scraps from anyone. He makes sure to smell and examine everything before he will eat it.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Kai! 🚔 • Modesto, California • 📸 PC: @k9_kai • “Kai is a blk Shepherd from Czech. He became my partner in 2008 through April, 2017. Kai is now 11yrs old. In 2011, Kai and I were ranked the #1 K-9 team in the Western States. Kai served the citizens of Modesto, CA. for 9 1/2 years. Kai is certified in Patrol and Narcotics detection. Kai’s largest narcotics find was 29 kilos of Cocaine (66lbs). Off duty, Kai loves to hang out with our Frenchie and Cat. Kai knows how to open doors so we have to lock everything. Kai’s favorite game, of course, is hide & seek. Kai also loves to swim with the family during the summer in our pool. Check out our page for pics and videos of all these things mentioned!” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet SJ! 👋 • St. Louis, Missouri • 📸 PC: @sjthesheltie • Service Dog in Training • SJ is a 1 year old Shetland Sheepdog who is training to be a medical alert service dog. He has already learned to alert to low blood sugar, elevated heart rate, migraines, and respond if I were to pass out. We are working on item retrieval and alerting to peanuts and to another person if something were to happen. His favorite thing to do is herd! He loves to herd cars, people, toys, other dogs- literally everything that moves needs to be herded!” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Luca! 🧡 • Torrance, California • 📸 PC: @goldenservicedog • Service Dog • “Luca is an 18 month old Golden Retriever and serves as a multi-purpose assistance dog to mitigate the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and minor heart irregularities. As any ole’ stereotypical Golden would, Luca is absolutely infatuated with water and tennis balls. Once you’re engaging in either play with her, it’s nearly impossible to quit. Sometimes I wonder if her true identity is a water alert dog—if there’s a body of water within a one mile radius (fountain, pool, lake, etc.) she will guide you there without a second thought, heh.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Hazel 🦔 • Aldie, Virginia • 📸 PC: @heytherehazel • Emotional Support Animal • “Hazel is a 2 year old, female, African Pygmy Hedgehog. She helps her owner, @tessaelyse, cope with major depressive disorder, general anxiety disorder, and other mental illnesses. Hazel helps her owner by helping her stay grounded and present. Hazel helps calm her owner during panic attacks and brings her joy even in the midst of depressive episodes. Hazel’s favorite snack is mealworms! 🐛 Her favorite things to do are play outside in the leaves or cuddle! 🍃” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Ryder! ✨ • England, U.K. • 📸 PC: @superdog_ryder • “Ryder is an Assistance Dog for Autism and also helps me with other tasks that I find difficult due to a chronic illness that causes a lot of pain. He was trained by Therapy Animals CIC and we live in the UK. His tasks include but are not limited to: anxiety response, picking up dropped items, bringing specific items such as a phone, keys or medication, prompting me to take medication and even helping me with chores such as emptying the washing machine. He is a superstar! Ryder is a Springer Spaniel/Labrador mix (Springador) and that is why he has such floppy ears! Ryder's favourite thing to do is play fetch in the park and he also loves learning new things! I once fell and hit my head in the night and was unconscious. Ryder barked until someone came! He also has an amazing ability to detect and alert people to medical problems like arthritis and sores and has started to alert me when I have a fever as well. Before I had Ryder, I was very sad, lonely, anxious and couldn't leave the house without my parents or family dog. Ryder has given me so much more independence. Now, we live in a flat of our own! Ryder even rides in the ambulance with me if I need to go to the hospital. He is my best friend and so intelligent, loyal and energetic! He also makes me laugh a lot because he snorts and grunts more than any other dog I've met!” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Mokie! 🐾 • Corvallis, Oregon • 📸 PC: @mokie_the_rescue • “Mokie is a 1 year old lab pit mix who I adopted this summer! He has been officially in training for 4 months and is excelling beautifully! He is owner trained, by myself, for medical alert and psychiatric work. His favorite thing to do would be cuddling, and going on fun hikes! Fun fact: every morning I wake up to him on his back with all four legs sticking straight up in the air right next to me in bed. He’s a character! In the short amount of 4 months, he is alerting to anxiety, doing deep pressure therapy on his own, and laying on me while I am having a cardiac episode! He had made going out so much more relaxing for me and I am so much calmer knowing he’s there for me. We still have a long way to go in our training but he learns so fast and is learning a new task or trick at least every few days.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Keeper 💌 • Larkspur, Colorado • 📸 PC: @the.herder.house • “That’s Keeper, and he is my medical alert/light mobility dog. I have a connective tissue disorder and he helps retrieve items for me, push buttons, close doors, alerts to migraines, and much more. His favorite thing to do in life is herd the cats, followed closely by fetch. Before having Keeper, I didn’t feel comfortable venturing out of the house, for fear of being stranded during medical complications. With him at my side, I finally have the ability to take care of myself again.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Louie! 🌟 • Pennsylvania, U.S.A. • 📸 PC: @servicedog_louie • “Louie is in training to be a psychiatric service dog for my anxiety, depression, and sensory processing disorder. His favorite things to do are off-leash walks, playing fetch, and cuddling! Louie makes me more independent and able to continue doing normal things that would otherwise be very hard for me to do.” • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Max! 💥 • Connecticut, U.S.A. • 📸 PC: @doodleonduty • “Max is a multipurpose service dog. He is for PTSD, Guide, Mobility, Hearing Alert, Allergen Detection, and Medical Alert & Response. Some tasks he provides to help me with my disability are providing a barrier between me and other people, alerting to seizures, guiding me around obstacles, providing a steady balance for me when I'm dizzy or if my balance is unstable and among so much more! His favorite thing to do is working, he absolutely loves his job!! One of his favorite tasks is finding an exit. He's the best thing that ever happened to me and I'm so blessed to not only have a best friend, but to have a lifesaver. ❤️🐾“ • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •

Meet Norbert! 🐩 • Northern Virginia • 📸 PC: @drnorbertservicedog • “Norbert is a 19 month old male standard poodle who was trained for me by Trained & Maintained Service Dogs (@trainedandmaintained). He does multiple medical alerts, mobility tasks, a small amount of psychiatric, and is about to start counterbalance training. One of his most helpful tasks is picking up all of the things that I drop because of my bad hands, but bending over to pick things up causes me big problems! His favorite task to do is ‘get my cane.’ He will take my cane away from me, just so he can bring it back to me! It’s pretty funny! 😆 His favorite game is fetch with a tennis ball in the backyard.” 🎾 • Tag @hakunamatography and hashtag #hakunamatography to be featured with your teammate! 🐾 •
