One of my favorite camping lifestyle images. I sure enjoy capturing moments of people doing what they love to do. Even better when it’s something I enjoy as well.

One of my favorite summertime fun images of all time. I had a lot of fun creating this image. I kept telling him to come flying by closer and closer. After this shot, I told him “that was great, but can you get even closer to me?”. He said “Dude, I was only about 18 inches away from your face... I don’t think I can get any closer without hitting you.” Well, I guess that will work just fine then. 😂 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

I hiked the Inca Trail for the past 4 days to get to Machu Picchu, and then climbed to the top of Waynapicchu Mountain, the iconic tower behind Machu Picchu to fly prayer flags in honor of family and close friends who have battled cancer. #radiatinghope #cancersucks #prayerflags #climbingforcancer Photo by: @audreysniezek at Wayna Picchu Mountain
I was really impressed with how patient and genuinely helpful Travis was with answering all the students questions. They really look up to him, respect his opinions, and value his advice. He had places to go after the class, but took the time to give personal attention to everyone. Much respect. at Park City, Utah

Travis Haley showing the guys how to shoot out to 800 meters with a carbine. at Parley's Canyon
Had the opportunity to photography the incredible Travis Haley of @haleystrategicofficial teaching a D5 carbine class yesterday, hosted by @reactivegunworks. Yes, THE Travis Haley. Not only does this guy have the skills and talent and experience, he’s really thought through and analyzed the psychology and biomechanics of shooting and operating under stress. What a great class. He really ought to be revamping our military’s elite operator training... they could learn a lot from him. at Parley's Canyon
“Work hard in silence. Let success be your noise.”
Bravery requires sacrifice. Doing something difficult or scary is not necessarily brave when you are the beneficiary. Going to work every day to earn a paycheck is difficult, but it is not brave. It is not brave to hurt others either. Robbing strangers at knifepoint may be risky and scary, but it is not brave. It is not brave to get what you want at the expense of others. That is not worthy of applause… it is selfish and despicable. Bravery is sacrificing yourself to benefit another. Your time, your will, your life, etc. The greater the sacrifice or the risk, the greater the bravery… and the greater the love.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
Courage is not the absence of fear, it is action in the face of fear. Fear paralyzes. Courage gives fear the middle finger and goes about doing what needs to be done. Courage is standing up for what is right and virtuous. Courage is protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Courage is putting others first at the expense of self. Putting the mission first. Putting your country first. Putting your children first. Never thinking what’s in it for me. Thank you to all the brave men and women that do this every day. But this weekend, a special heartfelt thanks to all the servicemen who have given everything to our country, our freedom, and our way of life. Thank you is not enough.
