We had a free day together with the family on Sunday and the weather hoppened to be super nice that day, so we decided to go on a little trip. • We went to Porkkala cape, which is supposed to be great for outdoor activities and wondering in the nature. I have never been there and was pleasantly surprised how peaceful it was out there. • Well, Edvin certainly enjoyed it ❤️ The building on the background is a public toilet and some kind of a storage or something. Edi just couldn’t stop walking around at the building and exploring the environment. Even when we were heading to our car, which was parked close by, to get him something to eat, he decided to get back to that building. My heart just melted a bit more ❤️ • ig: @Jasudotcom at Porkkalanniemi

Just another evening in Espoo. • It is not so common to come across with cross-country skiers on a walking street here, but once there is enough snow, people take advantage of it 😃 • This winter has been once again favorable what comes to snow and possibilites for snow activities 👍 The period with enough snow is quite short though, so better enjoy it. Since I took the photo some days ago, snow has already melted from most of the walking streets. • Although the snow is melting soon, the darkness of the evenings and possibility to enjoy the urban lights still continues for a while ☺️ • ig: @Jasudotcom at Matinkylä, Etelä-Suomen Lääni, Finland

I love spring so much ❤️ The morning skies become clearer and the sunrises become more and more visual 🌅 • Today I saw that there would be a nice sunrise and was thinking for a few seconds to go out and walk around to see the colors, but instead I decided to stay inside zipping some coffee and see the show through our kitchen window 😅 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Matinkylä, Etelä-Suomen Lääni, Finland

Today at around 11 am I went for a visit at Matinlahti sea shore to enjoy the weather between errands, and I came across with a great example of friendship. • There was a man ice fishing, first by himself. Just sitting there in the middle of silence enjoying the beautiful weather. • Then he was joined by a friend and they were chatting for a while, until there was a third man with a dog close by. The dog ran to these two gentlemen who were chatting, apparently to check if there would be some snacks around, as s/he ran directly to the ice hole. • After a while the third gentleman called out for the dog and the dog started running towards the man like a rocket. The dog was playing with the man and rolling on the ice like a maniac, having so much fun. • There I witnessed, from a distance, this friendship between the gentlemen and friendship between a man with a dog. • Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️ • ig: @Jasudotcom at Matinkylän uimaranta

Sometimes the cloudy sky makes the scene dramatic and beautiful at the same time👌 • Just like this landscape you get when looking at one of the seaside cafés close to our home, seen from across the bay where it is located at. • I love it when every once in a while it makes sense to stop and look at what there is, in front of you, every day ❤️ To stop and look. It’s that simple sometimes 🙏🏻 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Nokkalan Majakka

It was a cloudy day turning into darkness, and I came across with steps leading towards the frozen sea but I couldn’t see where they ended up to. • That was the beauty of it. I didn’t want to know where they went. I was just standing there, imagining what the person might have gone to do, or if that person walked onto the ice or what.. I left that to imagination. Just following there how the sun was setting somewhere behind the clouds. • The sunset was barely visible but there was a hint of it somewhere in the horizon. And then it got dark. Miracles of the nature ❤️ • Have a beautiful Tuesday friends 🙏🏻 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Koukkuniemi

At Helsinki International Boat Show 😎 • Well, they also have a segment about water sports, so we took Edi to see the pool where people were trying kayaking, wake boarding and different kinds of water gadgets ☺️ • He was curious ☺️ Anu took the photo 📸 @nanucca • ig: @jasudotcom at Helsingin Messukeskus

Today has been a really nice day with family, and one special event during the day was to see my godson learning the basics of ice hockey with a bunch of other kids ☺️ • Seeing this always brings back memories from childhood in Oulu when I was learning the basics of ice sports with the kids in our neighbourhood. • We used to gather every day during the winter to the frozen sports field next to our school to play ice hockey, rink ball and whatever combination of those two we could come up with. • It’s just so cool to see the next generation getting into sports 🙏🏻 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Paloheinän Jäähalli

We have all seen pictures taken in cities with skyscrapers and other tall buildings and camera pointed towards the sky to get a different kind of view of the city. A lot of times those photos are pretty awesome 👌 • Well, how about doing the same in the nature? I am pretty sure that when most of us walk in the woods or somewhere between trees, we don’t look up too often. Eventhough those views might be also worth the stop ☺️ • Trees are the buildings of the nature after all, and form the cities of the nature that we call forests. I haven’t been looking up too much lately, but will try to get better at it. • This is also a good way to take your eyes and focus away from what is directly in front of you or in the short sight and to open your eyes to the big picture. Works well in many areas of life too. • Wish you all a lovely Saturday 👌☺️ • ig: @Jasudotcom at Matinkylä, Etelä-Suomen Lääni, Finland

A lot of times the beauty lies in just ordinary places when you stop and look. • I don’t know if it’s only me but seeing this kind of ordinary walking street covered in snow, lit by street lamps, is just enough to make me smile ☺️ • ig: @Jasudotcom at Koukkuniemi

Wintry alley of trees. • This is one of my favorite walks along the lookout route that runs along the seashore in Espoo. The path is particularly nice during the summer with all the vivid colors. During the winter and especially now when we have plenty of snow, it’s just beautiful 😍 • The walk is guarded on the other edge with a row of trees that cover the path from above and on the other edge with a row of very special looking houses. Definitely worth walking through. • This time the walk was very quiet and nobody was there, until suddenly there was a lady who popped up from one of the houses and went on her way, which made the scene perfect 👌 • The path is called Halkosatamanpolku, located in Koukkuniemi, Espoo. • ig: @Jasudotcom at Koukkuniemi

This is some inner city adventuring in the winter wonderland ❄️ • Within a week we have gotten plenty of snow in the southern part of Finland and I went to wonder around close to where we live, to see how our hoods look like when covered in snow 💙 • It’s just mind blowing how you can find places that look like they could be from a fantasy movie, when you step away from the road into the forest, climb on top of a hill, stop and look. • Just like this place. I arrived here, and was just in awe. The picture can only give you a little hint of the mood in that place. Looking through this hidden path that is covered by branches of trees, with some light coming through the branches here and there, and snow falling from the trees every now and then (like in this photo), was just surreal. The brisky weather made it all perfect 🙏🏻 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Koukkuniemi

Sunday morning exercise again and I can start seeing some progress in stretching ☺️ • I have now started this process of getting into shape by mostly doing lately 1-3 times a week some very easy exercise and basically trying to tell my body that it would be time to start accepting some more activity 🙏🏻 • I feel that getting more flexibility can’t do no harm so putting some more emphasis on that ✌️ • Wish you all a great Sunday ☺️👍 • ig: @Jasudotcom at Fressi Iso Omena

I have missed sunrises, a lot ❤️ • There are several reasons why I love them so much. First of all, they are beautiful to see and follow how they develop. All the changes in the color from pitch black to the appearance of the sun and a bit after. • Second, it’s really a good way to wake up early and start the day. It gets you up and away good. • Third, it’s good exercise. And today this one emphesized. You know the feeling when you get to where you want to be to take photos, get your camera out, see what you want to photograph and turn the camera on..just to realize that you had forgotten the battery at the home on the table 🤦🏻‍♂️😅 • Well, that gave a good possibility then to walk around the sea shore, smell the fresh air (-14,5 C today), feel how my body started to slowly freeze (especially my gloves are totally bad) and like in this case, to follow how these two ladies came and dipped into the sea at an ice hole ❄️☺️ They told me they have done this at this place now for 20 years. It’s their hobby together. They wake up, come here straight from their beds and start their Sundays like this ❤️ • Wish you all a refreshing day ☺️🙏🏻 • ig: @ Jasudotcom at Matinlahti
