A cat. That’s not my cat. She started coming round at the time my Grandma got sick so I took it as a sign. We haven’t seen her in a while so Pam (my Grandma’s name), if you’re listening, pop over! We miss ya!

Yesterday was my beloved Grandma’s funeral. Before we left this little guy came and fluttered around her garden. She loved the colour purple. It was strangely comforting to see this little creature with purple flecks before such a hard event. Thanks for sending it Grandma. She wrote of my Grandpa in 2004, the year after he died, “Death ends a life but not a relationship. We are still a ‘couple’ and I am comforted by the thought.” To read that is a help for me during my grief. You are still my grandma and I am comforted by the thought. 💜
