11k 0Dream a little dream of Joe because this week we celebrate two album anniversaries! Today marks 30 years of "Flying in a Blue Dream," his second highest-charting release to date and probably his most ambitious. The 18-track set surprised many with the addition of vocals. "I knew I wasn't a singer," Joe admits to Ultimate Classic Rock. "I was a 'vocalizer' – I think that's what I told myself. I was able to vocalize, but I wasn't actually a singer." "Dreaming No. 11" turns 31 on Friday! In 1988, the opening track "The Crush of Love" reached No. 6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and was nominated for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1990 Grammy Awards. It's a Satch-filled week. Better start listening now!
