It's not about weight loss, it's not about how I look, it's about the energy I have, the strong bones and muscles I built because I’m taking care of myself and making it a priority to get in my daily exercise and healthy eating. It's proper nutrition because let's face it, when you eat better, you feel better. Being healthy and fit isn't a short term fad, it's a part of who I am. It gives me energy and confidence to take on each day with a positive attitude.

I know how hard this can be and I know it takes effort. I don't know how many hours I wasted comparing myself and the feeling unnecessary shame for not being the person I thought I needed to be. Stay in your lane, focus on your goals, and reach for your dreams... life is too short to chase someone else's. You are taking a step in the right direction. Be proud of it and live true to it.

Nothing can be built without truth. And it starts with transparency. You not only need to be true to others but true to yourself. Become ok with who you are. Speak your truth. Trust your gut. Relationships cannot of survive without transparency. It is the foundation of trust. Secrecy only breeds insecurity and makes the other person feel like they don’t matter. It’s vulnerability. It’s showing who you truly are at your core.

We all can feel frustrated and in a rut. Falling off our good habits and into the mindset of "oh I've hit my goal already so I can have just one bite.." But those moments of moderation become more than moderation and we lose ourselves. Don’t forget all the work you did to get there and start to refocus on new goals ahead. Get back on track and look back to appreciate how far you have come and look forward to what's ahead. Living healthy is not just a destination, its a way of life. I stepped on a scale for the 1st time in a while and realized that I’ve gotten a bit off track with my eating habits. Time to get back on the healthy train.
