Because during the Winter...We snuggle on a nightly basis. Just look at that darlin' face! My beautiful, Emmie Martini, became all mine at just a mere 8 weeks old - 12 years ago this week! She's my first born. My Daugger. She taught me how to love as a Mother, and for that I'm forever grateful. Tell me about your fur babies, and how they've impacted your life 🐢🐾❀ at Hurtt Holler

It's been the perfect day to just stay home and in from the cold rain. That cozy fire has been going since early this morning, and its done a fantastic job from keeping the nip out of the air. We watched a mess load of nostalgic Christmas movies, and even had time to bake/decorate sugar cookies as a family! During this crazy (yet fun) season, it's days like today that pretty much make you stop...slow down...and enjoy. πŸŒ§πŸŽ„πŸͺπŸ”₯ at Hurtt Holler

This year, I decided to keep the decor in our kitchen area very simple & uncluttered. It's a space I want to pretty much be a blank canvas each time I use it. Essentially, I want to be able to cook & prep {because it is afterall a kitchen} in this area without having to move a ton of decorations. πŸ˜‚ I must add, the rest of our home isn't as practical...But I'm truly enjoying the extra festive cheer in each room - regardless. Happy Monday, Friends! πŸ₯§πŸͺ🍰🍽 at Hurtt Holler

Cozy covers for cold nights! We switched out our bedding this past weekend, and just in time! It's been so cold here this week. 🌬 Investing in Christmas/winter bedding last year was one of the best decisions. Plus, the pop of color adds some cheer to this space, right? β„β˜ƒοΈβ„ at Hurtt Holler

I remember when we first moved into our freshly built home the first week of January in 2016, I was somewhat sad we missed Christmas by just a mere few weeks. I desperately wanted to decorate & host Christmas for our family. However, having to be patient {my weakness} and wait 11 more months to finally make this dream happen really did me a lot of good. I was able to be better prepared...more settled...and truly appreciate being able to do something as simple as put up a Christmas tree. It truly made our first Christmas that much more special - While also teaching me that not everything will come easy, or even when you REALLY want it, but it will be worth the struggle & wait in the long run. It's something I will forever be thankful for. πŸŽ„β„β€ at Hurtt Holler

Well, we have "de-falled" our home, spent several days decorating, and are now left with the magical warm glow of Christmastime. I think the cold weather we've been having has only intensified the winter feeling in the air! It's going to be quite chilly here all week, so cozy evening fires are a must! Now, if we could just manage to squeeze in a good December snow...Or even a dreamy white Christmas. {I'm not picky πŸ˜‰} πŸŽ„β˜ƒοΈβ„πŸ”₯ at Hurtt Holler

The calm before a bustling day full of delicious food & family! A whole bunch of love was cooked up in this kitchen today! Now, everything is all cleaned up and ready for company! Oh, how I look forward to this week full of festivities all year long! I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving filled with so much love & homemade food!!🍁 πŸ₯‚πŸ½πŸ¦ƒπŸ₯§πŸ‚ at Hurtt Holler

When two beautiful worlds naturally collide. All things Thanksgiving, with a side of Christmas sparkle. (Business in the front...Party in the back motto πŸ˜‚) Some would call this an interior decorating nightmare, but not this girl. I just see my two very favorite seasons blending together in perfect harmony...At least for the next few days. You see, we are blessed once again this year to have a house full for Thanksgiving, and what better way to take family Christmas photos than when you're all together for Thanksgiving...Right? So, I put my traditionalist thoughts about ChriatmasπŸŽ„ before ThanksgivingπŸ¦ƒ to the side for the best reason of all...Family! πŸ₯§ 🍽πŸ₯‚ at Hurtt Holler

Halfway at 20 weeks! Richie and I were able to see our sweet little Madelyn Clairee on the big screen today! Three things were accomplished during this doctor's visit... 1) She is indeed still a "She" πŸŽ€ 2) She is measuring beautifully & the heartbeat was a solid 138 πŸ’“ 3) Our Anniversaries look a lot different the more we celebrate from year to year, and I wouldn't trade this life of ours for anything in this world! Cheers to 7 wonderful years! πŸ’ Thankful for our {growing} family today and every day! at Hurtt Holler

"Now Autumn's fire burns slowly along the woods, and day by day the leaves fall and melt...." I came up our driveway this evening, and fell in love with Fall all over again. Autumn is truly one of nature's wonders as she puts on her annual show every year. She sure went all out for this year's display of colors in Georgia. Simply lovely! 🏑 πŸπŸ‚πŸŒ° at Hurtt Holler

Oh, to be home! After a fun whirlwind of a weekend in Asheville, to a crazy busy day at work (case of the Monday's)...I'm truly thankful just to be in my own space. Anyone else?! πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ Ps. I spy Emmie Martini 🐾 at Hurtt Holler

If I had to describe @biltmoreestate in one word it would be...Peaceful. We discover little hidden jewels everytime we visit, and we never can seem to get enough of this place. Every season is always full of natural beauty & packed full of so much history! at Biltmore

It's hard to not fall completely in love with the Conservatory at the @biltmoreestate. Between the timeless architecture to the breathtaking flowers inside...What's not to love?! Well, it took my awe to a whole new level this weekend when I saw the entire outside adorned with these deliciously vibrant mums! Just lovely! 🌱 πŸŒΌπŸŒ·πŸŒΏπŸƒ at Biltmore

We did a special rooftop tour while at the @biltmoreestate, and the views did not disappoint! Just look at the Conservatory peeking through the colorful fall leaves from this vantage point...Not to mention the stunning mountains in the background. πŸŒ„πŸŒ³πŸπŸ‚πŸƒ at Biltmore

What a beautiful weekend at the @biltmoreestate celebrating our 7th Anniversary! We enjoyed not only the loveliness of Fall colors outside, but also experienced Christmas magic the opening night of Candlelight tours! The best of both worlds! at Biltmore

First stop on our weekend getaway for our Anniversary...Cherokee National Forest in beautiful North Carolina. The leaves are breathtakingly gorgeous & the air is crisp! πŸπŸ‚πŸƒπŸŒ° at Cherokee National Forest

The leaves have gracefully peaked in Villanow, and boy they did not disappoint this year! This is the view halfway up our driveway, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's moments like this that naturally make me feel so calm & thankful for simple views like this. Nature just has a beautiful way of doing just that! πŸŒ³πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ at Hurtt Holler

Our boy once again challenged Richie & I with making an extremely "unique" Halloween costume. This year he requested to be a functioning Security Camera (iPad in selfie mode)...Complete with a solar panel & electric wires to power the system, so that's what our Everett got! Where does he come up with this stuff?! I definitely see a little Engineer in the making! Ps. Be sure to watch the video! Happy Halloween, Everyone! πŸŽƒ at Hurtt Holler
