Fall, you take my breath away with your simple beauty & cozy colors. Now, if we could just work on the changing leaves & sprinkle in some cooler weather that would take it up a notch! I officially have that fall itch...Anyone else?! πŸŒ»πŸπŸ‚πŸŒ°πŸ¦Š at Hurtt Holler

Anyone else find themselves wishing for cooler weather that even remotely hints to fall settling in? Guilty.βœ‹πŸ» I'm dreaming of crisp evenings that are perfect for bonfires...Or even a nice cozy fire in the fireplace. The other day, Everett (5), said he "really" wanted to build a fire in the fireplace. I would be lying if turning on the AC super high to build a small didn't cross my mind once he suggested it. I know, I'm hardcore...But that's how we roll. Even my 5 year old gets it! πŸ”₯πŸπŸ‚πŸ‘Œ at Hurtt Holler

The cozy warm tones of fall just makes my heart happy! Since we grew 100+ pumpkins, we had plenty to spare when it came to decorating & using them around our home. (Almost every pumpkin pictured is real!) Can you spy my special one-and-only Turban squash? This might sound slightly crazy...but, I'm a tad bit emotionally invested in our little harvest. What can I say, I watched them grow from infancy. So, I will be that crazy pumpkin lady by surrounding myself with them as long as I can! Happy fall! πŸŒ±πŸŽƒπŸπŸ‚πŸŒ° at Hurtt Holler

Have I mentioned I adore all things fall? Oh, the amount of harvest decor my sweet husband pulled out of storage that I've collected through the years is quite impressive...But I will never have enough of fall goodness. To add to the short-term collection, I decorated our entire home with homegrown pumpkin beauties, and I just love the bright vibrant color they bring to each room! Have you added little pops of fall everywhere yet?! πŸπŸ‚πŸŽƒπŸƒ

Fall is not only an exciting new season...but it's also a blank canvas when it comes to added autumn decor to your home. I have no doubt our foyer will change multiple times this season, but it sure was fun playing around with new ideas! An opportunity to create something out of your comfort zone. I love using pumpkins & gourds with all different colors & textures! I actually mixed in lot of our homegrown here to make it look more realistic, while adding little pops of color! Oh, how I LOVE fall!! πŸŒΎπŸπŸ‚πŸƒ at Hurtt Holler

A picture says a thousand words...and this one says, "it's completely normal to store 130+ pumpkins in your dining room while they're curing." I just want to add that transitioning this room over to fall, while surrounded by a variety of homegrown pumpkins, felt absolutely amazing & was oh so fun!! Notice the minis on the place settings? (Primitive vibes!) These beauties will make their way to our front porch in the next few weeks, but until then...I'll just admire them from here. πŸ·πŸ½πŸŽƒπŸƒ at Hurtt Holler

August, you have proven to be extra hectic to say the least! Anyone else?! Thankful that the 4 "ber" months start in T minus 3 days, and I couldn't be more eagerly excited! As promised, I'm gearing up for fall decor to be in full force this weekend - So just get ready! It may feel like the sweltering jungle outside, but it will look like a golden autumn day full of fresh pumpkins & fall goodness inside this home come Monday! πŸπŸ¦‰πŸ‚πŸƒπŸŽƒπŸŒΎ at Hurtt Holler

This picture pretty much sums up the weather we've had this summer in North Georgia...Rain.πŸ’¦ From downpours, to pop up showers, to storm marathons...We've had it! Now, I'm not complaining, as just 2 summers ago we went through a terrible draught right after we finished building, and this entire hill was nothing but a miserable dustbowl with absolutely nothing green in sight! Thankful for the lush grass, colorful flowers, and gorgeous sunflowers so tall they can't stand up on their own! πŸŒ¦πŸŒΏπŸŒ»πŸƒ at Hurtt Holler

Rainy Saturday afternoons can mean a lot of things, but today it means taking a moment to deep clean the kitchen. As crazy as it sounds, I actually enjoy cleaning this space...Not sure if it's the instant gratification, or simply having it organized gives me some sort of balance in comparison to the rest of my {not so tidy} life. Whatever it may be, one thing is always certain, a clean kitchen never goes out of style. β˜”πŸŒ«πŸ’¦ at Hurtt Holler

Did y'all catch the pumpkin report yesterday?! We still have plenty of Cinderellas, RosΓ©s, and large Carvings on the vine, but I am secretly going to be sad when this massive pumpkin patch is gone. It kinda belongs there...Don't ya think? I mean, who knew an accidental jungle could be so enjoyable?! Taking in this lush view while I can! πŸŒ±πŸŒΏπŸŒΎπŸŽƒ at Hurtt Holler

What a wonderful BIRTHDAY this has been! My work family pampered me all day & and then I came home to the most amazingly quaint family celebration filled with so much love. The older I get, the more I don't begrudge adding a higher number to my age, but rather appreciate another year here on this beautiful earth completely surrounded by the ones I love the most! It's hard not to feel loved when you receive countless calls, texts, and sweet messages acknowledging your day! I truly am thankful for each and every one of them! Cheers to 33!! πŸ‘πŸŒ»πŸƒ at Hurtt Holler

The pumpkins we harvested have been basking in the sun all week, and are looking prettier by the day! The color has deepened & the outer skin is much harder. This "sun" process is doing the trick in preserving our precious little fall crop! {Pumpkin Spice the cat has enjoyed observing this science experiment as well} Seriously, who would have thought just leaving them out in the sunshine could do all that?! πŸŽƒπŸŒΎπŸπŸ‚ at Hurtt Holler

Guilty as charged...the scent of crisp fall candles has officially arrived! Not going to lie, my mind completely transitioned over to all things fall when we harvested our pumpkins a few days ago. (Naturally) I promise, no fall decor has made it's way out of storage quite yet - but I sure am itching to get it all out! Don't worry...It won't start creeping out until Labor Day weekend, so I'll just enjoy {smelling} lovely fall until then! I know I've said this before, but there is simply nothing I enjoy more than hosting our sweet family & friends. This especially applies to our best friends that we became very close with while living in Louisiana some years back. They moved to Chattanooga last year, and we are forever thankful to have them just a short 45 minute drive down the road. We spent the entire day eating great food, enjoying endless conversations, and taking them to a local favorite spring-fed creek here in Villanow called "The Pocket." It's days like today that naturally recharge me, and make me so appreciative of this space we get to share with the ones we love the most! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸžπŸŒ» at Hurtt Holler

Whew - What a week. Who knew the first week of school could be so crazy/tough...for the parents! Ha! Good news is, Everett is loving his new school & teacher, and that's all that matters. With that said, I'm ready to get back in the swing of things, and start preparing some new projects for this fall! Barn doors, laundry room makeover, and master bedroom built-in cabinets are just to name a few! Slow & steady... Happy Saturday, friends! πŸ₯§β˜•πŸ¦‰πŸƒ at Hurtt Holler

Spending the evening of the most perfect day with the simplest of views. I can't help but be thankful for being surrounded by homegrown pumpkins/gourds {Pumpkin Spice included} & the beautiful greenery that is usually turned brown by now due to the Southern summer heat. The front porch and steps are lined with the promise of fall being just around the corner, and I'm not sad about it one bit! Hope everyone has had an extraordinary weekend! β˜€οΈπŸŒ»πŸƒπŸ‚ at Hurtt Holler

And just like that...It's time to harvest some of our pumpkins & gourds from our {accidental} pumpkin patch! Hard to believe these beauties have been growing since early May, but I sure have enjoyed watching all of the varieties come in. Between these pictured & and the miniatures...We cut over 100 pumpkins today, with about 20 or so more still on the vine! Needless to say, this makes me desperately ready for Fall!! πŸπŸ‚πŸƒπŸŽƒβ˜•πŸ¦‰ at Hurtt Holler

Spending some much needed time with my sweet family this week! Sun, sand, waves...and tractors. That's right, you can take the boy out of the country, but can't take the country out of the boy! I sure do love our Everett & his contagious spirit! πŸβ˜€οΈπŸŒŠβ›΅ at Destin, Florida
