This week we brewed another favorite that is the sign of sunnier days ahead: Post Ride Snack. This 4.9% ABV Session IPA's release typically coincides with the start of our weekly Thursday Bike & Brew Rides with @llbean . While weekly rides are currently on hold, we are teaming up with the folks from @bikes.and.beers for their nationwide Social Distancing Ride. Ride outside, ride inside & log your miles for weekly prizes. To learn more details about this effort to stay fit and encourage responsible cycling during this crisis, go to Each rider receives a rider appreciation package with tokens for beers at supporting breweries once things have reopened. Additionally, a portion of proceeds from the ride will go to families affected by COVID-19 and cycling charities across America.

In the month of April, our highlighted @1percentftp nonprofit partner is @maine_coast_heritage_trust @maine_coast_heritage_trust works with landowners, towns, and communities to identify and conserve outstanding coastal lands- protecting critical habitats and creating more public access to the land and sea. MCHT has conserved 145,000+ acres of land from Kittery to Lubec and created 100+ preserves free and open to the public. Activities ranging from camping to hiking, birding, paddling and boating, these preserves provide the public with numerous opportunities for experiencing the best of Maine’s Coast. At a time when many of us are turning to our outdoor spaces for activity and a sense of calm, we should remember how important it is to protect and care for these areas, and to support those who make that their mission.

And the sun sets at the end of another long week...wait, what do you mean it’s only Tuesday? Hang in there friends, we’re going to get through this together!

Our flagship beer, the pale ale that started it all, Peeper is back in stock (our tap room today, out for distribution this week). Originally named "Spring Peeper" after the frogs that are one of the early signs of spring, this pale ale has light fruit, citrus, and pine aromas and a malt grain sweetness. Hope you are able to enjoy some spring sunshine to lighten these days!

A view from the Maine Coast to start your Sunday. Did you know Maine has 65 historical lighthouses covering 5000+ miles of coastline? Curbside Pickup will operate today from 11am-8pm. Order online or by phone. For those Not nearby use the beer finder on our website and direct your support to the bars/restaurants/retailers who are selling our beer close to you.

Our Curbside Pickup will be open from 11am-8pm today. You can order bottles, kegs, and pizza online (link in bio) or call ahead (207-221-5711). Speaking of pizzas we added 3 new pies to the menu: Unknown Valley, Salami & Hot Cherry Pepper, and Roasted Pepper & Onion. It’s going to be a good day to enjoy a pizza & beer outdoors!

As we work our way through this difficult situation, a common thread we find is people wanting to help, and finding a way to use the resources we have to do so. With that in mind Maine Beer Company, along with a number of other Maine Breweries are working with our local distillers to help in the production of hand sanitizer that is critically needed by first responders. Our equipment can't make sanitizer, but our beer can. Breweries from around our area are donating product that might have gone to waste to distillers. Then working with the University of Maine's Manufacturer's Extension and MEMA they are going through the arduous process of producing and distributing this product to hospitals around our state. We hope to have more details for you soon, but want to thank all involved for pivoting our work in a way to help our community.

We're all ready to get to the end of this long week, so tomorrow as a reward we will be adding bottles and a limited number of kegs of Second Dinner (Double IPA) to our Curbside Pickup menu. You may place an online order in the morning before we open for same day pickup or call in an order at 207-221-5711 after 11am (once you have placed an order the beer is held for you that day). Second Dinner is our DIPA follow up to Dinner, and while they share the same malt bill, the Amarillo, Citra, HBC 522, and Idaho 7 hops make this a completely different beer with a bright citrus, pineapple, and strong fruit aroma. Cheers!

3-25-2020 Update: We are continuing our online ordering for curbside pick-up of bottles, kegs and pizza to go orders. We thank everyone for the support you have shown our team here in Freeport. But our network is much wider, and we want to give an air high five to the efforts of our distributors, and restaurant/bar and retail partners. We are interconnected, and all doing our best to maneuver through this situation. Thank you all, and let's keep working together!

Well last week we were posting about spring, and this morning...we woke up like this. It’s Maine, so we should be used to Nature’s curveballs (or snowballs in this case). Fresh bottles and kegs of Another One have been added to our curbside pickup menu (check our stories & link in bio for online ordering for pick up).

Good morning all! Monday March 23- our curbside pickup will be operating today from 11am-8pm- link to online ordering is in the bio and our full menu is on our website. We'll be taking a little break from social media today to catch our breath, but wanted to share with you a pic of Maine's coast. We appreciate all of your support, take care everyone!

While technically we know this glass is not half full, we’re trying to take a more positive perspective. This week we have been so thankful for the support shown here in Maine and throughout our network. It’s inspiring to see how quickly people are adapting to meet new needs and situations, and how many people are ready to help. Keep that mindset moving forward. Take care of yourselves and each other. #dowhatsright
