Looking around Barcelona’s Gothic quarter, we find very few straight lines. The neighbourhood is a maze of narrow streets that give to unexpected squares displaying a miscellaneous collection of arches and curved formations. They are the depositories of the cultural inheritance of Catalonia we find all over the region’s landscape – not only in public areas, but also inside houses, museums, hotels, or in this case, a restaurant. #NEWPROJECT⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Culture is the constructive force of individual and collective identities. It encompasses both tradition and the change thereof. The cultural space is then by definition a place to experience our society, a space to exhibit its challenges and contemplate new possibilities. This brings the museum into the realm of urbanism, as it creates a place to deeper understand, form and share identity, reinforcing as such our sense of citizenship. For the new Museu Nacional de l’Automòbil d’Andorra we applied this idea to a building by giving more space to its citizens. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Render by @playtime.barcelona ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #MESURA #automobilemuseum #publicspace #architecture_bcn #museumdesign at Andorra la Vella, Andorra

A new spatial concept for @AUDISPAIN ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rather than the traditional vitrine display, physical space has become the ideal environment for analogue brand exploration. It has evolved into a tool for culture creation, allowing brands to expand their universe through an interdisciplinary and inclusive approach that speaks to a wide range of visitors and collaborators: a curious bypasser, an informed client, a brand subscriber.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Render by @playtime.barcelona ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #MESURA #commercialinteriordesign #architecture_bcn #retaildesign #AUDI at Spain

"Imagination is spatial, and a sense of place is in part formed by imagination. Using local crafts, textures, colours we can create a sense of belonging because they speak to our memory. Using abstract interpretations, simplicity and reduced expression we intensify character and identity, making us more conscious of the spaces that surround us." Our Spaces is a new project for healthcare company @official.roche Short film in collaboration with @nanouk_films

#AWARDS The landscape design of the Perratallada Castle just received an award under the category of Private Gardens in the Paris DNA Design Awards “Located next to two ancient buildings and the entrance to the premise, the Peratallada garden is constituted of three different ground levels; two of them touching two different edifices of the castle, and another level incorporating the pool. A complex foundation to level out, we created elevated platforms that touch as little as possible of the original structure of Peratallada.” #architecturebarcelona #design #heritage #architecture #Mesura at Peratallada, Cataluna, Spain

Flexibility has become the key concept design of every office space, be it our own work space in Barcelona – a white canvas that invites you to feel free, comfortable and connected – or the offices of clients like @official.roche or @lifeatking that have to fit thousands of personalities and ideas inside one company philosophy and over various buildings. #barcelonaarchitecture #officedesign #interiordesignbarcelona #MESURA at Barcelona, Spain

#NEWPROJECT "We are emotionally affected by the spaces that surround us, we understand them, usually without particularly knowing the meaning of their form. In architecture, we have come to know this process as “atmosphere”, which connects the world of matter with the human soul." For healthcare company @official.roche we looked for the essence of the company in order to turn it into a built environment (a global architecture, interior design and landscape design), an easy digital tool, understandable for architects, designers and the general public. Short film in collaboration with @nanouk_films at Basel, Switzerland

Our idea of mobility is changing. The dream of vehicle ownership has turned into a desire for shared mobility concepts, shifting the car industry’s focus from product to user, driver to passenger, travel to journey, experience to exploration. If mobility is a constant encounter with everything that is new, how can its physical space act in the same way? Our new spatial design for @audi on the website

Francis Bacon wrote that the garden “is the purest of human pleasures. It is the greatest refreshment of the spirit of man; without which, buildings and places are but gross handyworks”. The landscaping discipline took this idea to the next level, drawing on the idea that the garden constitutes the most important part of the house. Project revisited: the San Mori Garden at San Mori

Born Apartments is a reform of four living spaces in the lively Born neighborhood of Barcelona. The project provides a distinct personality to each of the apartments, respecting their constructive and atmospheric characteristics, and taking away remnants of previous interventions. Day and night areas are separated through a different use in materials. #InteriorDesign at Barcelona, Spain

#PROCESS Brick is a mixture of clay and iron, which, when burned at a high temperature, turns into a reddish brown, colouring the brick facades of our history. Kept in the fire longer, brick turns black, a humble material though hard, durable and resistant. Coming soon: our Badalona Brick House at Barcelona, Spain

"As filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein’s 1938 essay Montage and Architecture first suggested, architecture guides us through space, much like the montage of a film does when cropping, framing and abstracting.” We compare the architecture that of film making in order to explain the concept behind the Rupià house. #PROCESS We are using terrazo for the new interior design of the iconic @cheriff_restaurant in the heart of the Barceloneta neighbourhood. Originated in 16th-century Italy as a way to reuse stone offcuts, terrazo is a composite material, made of chips of marble, quartz and granite, held together with a concrete and epoxy-resin binder.
