“My obsession for dark cinematic aspects and emotional poetry gradually led to the birth of my current aesthetic. This shot was actually my first attempt at cityscape photography and was heavily influenced by the movie Blade Runner 2049. I tried to portray a city (Nairobi) with hidden potential on the rise (despite many challenges) by focusing on a building that was seemingly still under construction.” 📸: @matthewmatete
