(Romans 12:1) ⠀ ⠀ In the Old Testament, when the children of Israel offered God a sacrifice on the alter, it was burnt up completely - leaving nothing but ashes on the alter. ⠀ ⠀ Once that sacrifice was burnt up there was no way to ever get it back, and that’s how God wants us to present ourselves to Him, a living sacrifice that we cannot take back. ⠀ ⠀ No matter if we’re in good days or bad days, we are still on His alter - holy and pleasing Him in all that we do. ⠀ ⠀ We even read in the book of Leviticus that when the sacrifices were burnt up on the altar, it was a pleasing aroma to the Lord. ⠀ ⠀ That pleasing aroma wasn’t the smell of what was burning, but what the smell represented. Our obedience, faithfulness, and faith in God represents that pleasing aroma to the Father and is our truest form of worship.

Search and seek after Him and you will be filled. ⠀ ⠀ Surrender whatever you are worried about or holding onto to God, He is the only one who can sustain it. ⠀ ⠀ Jesus is enough for your circumstances. Do not be afraid to let go, surrender to Him with excitement, not just for what He can do but for who He is. He loves you and cares for you. ⠀ ⠀ Put you focus on God and seek His kingdom first. ⠀ ⠀ (Matthew 6:33)⠀ ⠀ Your hope and faith is restored when you are looking to God rather than your circumstances. ⠀ ⠀ Be loved by Him and let Him into your heart. ⠀ ⠀ You are complete and whole in Christ. ⠀ ⠀ Jesus is all that matter and He is the most important. ⠀ ⠀ John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.” pc: @harveyv24

Are we radical in our faith?⠀ ⠀ Are we willing to look ridiculous to everyone else around us and place our entire faith in God? ⠀ ⠀ Or do we rather play it “safe” and not attempt to walk out on a branch that MIGHT break, clinging to the trunk for security? ⠀ ⠀ Someone once told me that faith was walking so far out on the branch that if it broke the only thing we could trust in was God catching us. ⠀ ⠀ As I examine my own life and, unfortunately I find myself greatly lacking. In my flesh I want to live a “safe” life. ⠀ ⠀ I want to have the comforts that I think provide me with security. ⠀ ⠀ But I have to ask myself: ⠀ ⠀ Would I be willing to give it all up… ⠀ ⠀ To sell every possession I have if God called me to so that I can follow Him with a whole heart and in total surrender? That is my desire. ⠀ ⠀ I pray that the Lord would teach you more fully how to walk that radical faith in my everyday, sometimes mundane, life. ⠀ ⠀ It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to sell it all. ⠀ ⠀ but it does mean you have to live looking to God alone for your security. ⠀ ⠀ Your hope cannot be in a paycheck for security (in these times, no job is really secure) or in money in the bank or in the nice possessions you might have. ⠀ ⠀ Your faith must be in God alone to hold, sustain, provide and protect. ⠀ ⠀ Have you ever examined your faith to see if it could be characterized as “radical”? ⠀ ⠀ Maybe it’s time. 🖤🤘🏻 @radicalfaith

One of my favorite things is when you’re reading Scripture and you just get this feeling that God is about to reveal something to you. ⠀ ⠀ Almost like God is saying: ⠀ ⠀ “Get ready. Are you listening? ⠀ I’m about to show you something.”⠀ ⠀ Then as you read you come across this piece of Scripture and it leaps off the page and strikes you deep in your heart. ⠀ ⠀ Suddenly there’s this fresh God given insight about what you’re reading and you find wisdom, guidance, peace, and a sense of God is here, He is listening, and He is giving me wisdom and guidance in my circumstance. ⠀ ⠀ Even though I might have read that passage or verse a thousand times before. ⠀ ⠀ It’s suddenly filled with new meaning and life for my specific situation.

I want to be an example of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. ⠀ ⠀ I want my faith to be SO genuine that people don’t wonder about where I stand in this world. ⠀ ⠀ I want it to be so real that I don’t need to tell them I’m a Christian, and they can already assume that I am by the way I live my life.⠀ ⠀ I want my love for Jesus to be so pure and profound that others may know that I follow Him alone. 🤘🏻🖤 ( Get ready for two posts a day too )

⁣God totally has grace for you when you mess it up. He loves you no matter what. He wants you to cast off guilt and shame, because it doesn’t work and it’s not who you are and it’s what Jesus came to die for.⠀ ⠀ On the other hand: God does want you to recover. He wants you not only to experience the cover of grace, but also His grace-empowered Spirit for a fruitful, passionate, purposeful, mission-driven life.⠀ ⠀ I believe God will restore you every time you fail for the rest of your life, so when you relapse and go mess up, God is still going to love you afterward, every time. But my question is: Do you really want to keep living this way?⠀ ⠀ I’m not asking this to guilt-trip you. I’m only saying that once the old self is dead, it’s not worth it to go back there anymore. I don’t think Lazarus missed his tomb and climbed into his coffin sometimes. I don’t think the healed blind man Bartimaeus wore a blindfold to reminisce on his days tripping over things. ⠀ ⠀ You’ll be forgiven by God every single time, but God wants you to experience the fully forgiven life too.⠀ ⠀ So if you break a “clean streak,” please don’t wallow in self-pity. When you mess it up, it’s okay. But what’s even better is getting to the place where going back is no longer an option, and you’re so in love with God that turning around is unthinkable.⠀ ⠀ I believe we can get there. ⠀ I believe our God is that powerful. ⠀ I believe we are not merely works in progress, but we are empowered by It Is Finished.

⁣I’m sorry this is so harsh, but if no one ever disagrees with you or calls you out on foolishness, you have no real friends and you’re probably not one either. ⠀ ⠀ If you get offended any time someone pushes back on something you say or do, then you’re using how you “feel” as emotional blackmail to protect your precious ego.⠀ ⠀ I don’t mean that every criticism is right, but none of us are right all the time either. Shutting out dissension is the way to stagnancy and immaturity.⠀ ⠀ This is the downward spiral into isolation and an out-of-touch echo chamber.⠀ ⠀ If you surround yourself with yes-men, your life will be comfortable and complacent, but you’ll never grow or see or move. And most of all, I’m preaching this to myself first.⠀ ⠀ For any amount of hurt you’ve caused, I’m that same person to someone else, so I’m checking me before you. ⠀ ⠀ I’m ripping my claws off my ego.

I want you to know that you don’t have to be anxious about anything. God has the ability to open any and every door for you. ✘ Doors people said couldn’t be open. Doors people said were unrealistic to even think you could obtain the key for. Doors that people discouraged you and laughed at you about. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✘ So don’t worry, don’t worry about what opportunities lay ahead and how you will obtain them. Don’t lose sleep and deprive yourself of good health. ✘ What man says is impossible, God says is possible. God already has your plan written. Just have patience and faith. ✘ You must learn something during the process. Growth is apart of learning. Don’t rush through the chapters and moments of your life. Sometimes they only come once.

Live every day likes it your last. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Leave a lasting impression and be good to people. Work your hardest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tell the people around you how much you love and appreciate them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Things may not always go the way you want it to but if you do this you'll never have a wasted minute; you will live a fulfilled life regardless of your outcome.

Focus on creation and not competition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you focus on the creation you find joy and fulfillment within your work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you focus on creating only to compete the work you are doing becomes a source of stress and heartache. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Keep this in mind. Do the work for yourself and not to compete with anyone or anything. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s time to start living better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Peace.
