Last month, @jamesblunt made a surprise visit ahead of his Live At Chelsea performance to the staff of the Margaret Thatcher Infirmary (MTI) to recognise their exceptional care of the Chelsea Pensioners.
Susan Williams, Matron of the MTI, explained what it meant to her team: “It was such a lovely surprise for James Blunt to meet with our wonderful nursing and care staff in the MTI. The event took place ahead of Armed Forces Day next Saturday, kicking off a week of activities held across the nation to honour the bravery and dedication of Britain’s Armed Forces. In attendance were serving soldiers, as well as veterans, reserves, cadets and representatives from military charities. ⠀
