A Fallow Deer antler. It won't be long before the stags start to lose their antlers but for the time being I've still witnessed a good amount of fighting in the recent weeks 📷 at Bushy Park
A male Red Crested Pochard on choppy waters. Not usually a bird you'd expect to see in the UK very often. Certainly catch your eye when you do come across one.
Stand out from the crowd 📷
I may have focused on the nose and not the eyes in my frantic attempt to take this photo but I like it none the less!
I saw a red stag in near distance so I sat at the base of a tree and it walked within about 8 feet of me! They're well used to people at this point, which isn't always good as tourists take advantage of this.
Which one, black and white or colour?
Taken last time I was in Bushy Park.... Probably last summer! Going to head there today, a bit later than my usual sunrise time though...
Another one from Sunday. Rising sun breaking through the trees as the stags go about the morning grazing 📷
Best of a bad bunch from yesterday. Good to see there's still see rutting behaviour going on! Headed out for a nice sunny morning but ended up struggling in low light in the forests. (I was trying to get shots of the Sun just hitting the deer or behind them.) Had no luck photographing anything else!
I shouldn't have these problems in the future once the new camera finally arrives. A good step up from the basic D3400 I have now but I'm very happy with the shots I've managed to get with such a basic camera. Just shows it's not always the camera but how you use it! Pretty much anyone can take a good picture with £5k+ worth of equipment.* Try it with it with £500 worth of equipment!
Edit: Not anyone. Just saying you don't need the best equipment 😊
I've still only been out once this year with the camera and it was when I came across this injured stag. I've been meaning to share this image purely because I've never seen a Stag, a usually powerful animal look so defeated! 📷
Very close portrait of this regal stag. Originally a landscape shot cropped to portrait and then cropped even more with Instagram..
A Little Owl basking in the spot of sunlight, looking like an evil villain!
Taken back in September, the last time I saw the owls. I thought they had left the park but I've recently discovered they're still there. Looking forward to photographing them again!
Hoping we'll get some weather in February that looks like this! Just dug this photo out from the end of February last year. Waking up to snow and luckily I didn't have to be in work until later that morning. Perfect conditions that day 👌🏻📷 at Morden Hall Park
Digging through the archives, one from the rut I haven't shared yet (Until now). Great weather this day which helped with the sharpness 👌🏻📷
Bad photo but I finally managed to capture a King Fisher! I've only ever seen one a few times and today I got lucky. This is massively cropped (as you can tell) and I don't really like the photo but worth a share. It is a King Fisher after all! 📷 at Morden Hall Park
January really is the worst time of year to be out with the camera. I haven't been out for a couple of weeks and won't be out for a couple more but I don't mind. Weathers not great and animals aren't very active. Too spoilt by the rut this year! Bring on Spring 📷 at Richmond Park
King of the land 📷 at Richmond Park
We all love a chocolate Lab but what about a chocolate stag? 🤔📷 at Richmond Park
This squirrel was actually smelling the branch. I don't know why. at Richmond Park
Standing proud - I wonder if this is the stag that injured the one I shared a few days ago. He's definitely proud about something! at Richmond Park
