Sometimes it’s just hard to show up for yourself. Amen? 🤷🏻‍♀️ . I heard a talk this weekend at my annual coaching convention where the speaker talked shared a cool fact. Envision yourself at the bottom of a mountain, he said, poised to climb it. How do you feel about your impending challenge🗻. Does the mountain seem scary? Impossible, even? He then told us to envision ourselves in that same position, at the bottom of a mountain, prepared to climb it, but this time with a good friend. 👯‍♀️ How do your feelings about that mountain change? 🤔 . He pointed out is that research has shown that the mountain you see when standing alone is up to 20% steeper than the mountain you perceive when preparing to climb with a friend. . 👉🏻So what’s your mountain? No matter what it is, find a friend, get accountable, and traverse together. . Need a friend in your health journey? In business? In earning vacation or Christmas money for your family? In making it big? I have found that being a coach has changed my perspective on these challenges. It’s made “showing up for myself” easy, because everyday, I’m showing up for others. Ever feel like you’re always “starting over”? . After completing an 80 day workout program, last week, I started a new plan. It calls for 6 days of workouts and one day of rest each week. Well, by Thursday, I was down for the count with a back injury flare up. I missed 3 days of my plan and by yesterday, felt a little frustration. I thought to myself, “Well, I guess I’ll just start over.” . But do you know how defeating that feels? By saying I’ll “start over,” I’m essentially discounting the first 3 days I executed my new program last week....and maybe even writing off the many days of exercise I’ve done over the last year. But those days count, y’all! I’ve shed the sweat AND the pounds to prove it. . So today I decided to flip the script. No more “starting over.” Instead, today, I simply took the next step—continued along my path—kept on writing my story. It was a victory. And it felt good. . Do you need to STOP “starting over” and instead, just keep walking forward? Talk to me. We can walk together!

It’s HERRRRRRRE! And I already chomped one down. I’m impressed with how tasty and filling it is for only 150 calories. This is my “listen to your mother” face. ☝🏻🤨Because, listen up, y’all! It was some kind of hard to get out of bed today. But I did. And just an hour later, I feel exceptional☀️. I mean every bit of that word. A little prayer, scripture and a lot of sweat can change a gal’s day, mmk? . Today, was day 65 of my current 80 day program. It’s been a long haul. But today my trainer said this.... “It’s a long process. Quitting won’t speed it up.”💃🏼 . Basic, yes. But so right. It’s funny how those things always seem so intentionally timed for me. So instead of quitting, I FINISHED. I took another bite out of that elephant🐘. Because pressing on for today means growth for tomorrow🌱. It means that the “long” process continues and that the momentum rolls on. . Find your momentum, and let it feed itself. No quitting here. Falling, probably. But always progress. 16-24 oz. a day💧. That was my #waterlife before learning about clean eating. . Water, y'all. Isn't it like, good for everything?! 😱 . When I started clean eating, my new goal became drinking half my body weight in ounces (around 75 oz.). I got in a good habit, and now drink a comfortable 👉🏻100 oz. a day👈🏻. It took focus. It took intent. But it paid off. . The benefits are endless.....burst the bloat, fight fatigue and muscle soreness, clearer skin, improved kidney and organ function, clairity and focus, productivity, calorie control....you get the idea. And that is how to start a Tuesday. All the sweat. 😅 . Today was a pyramid set of 10 cardio moves, followed by 8 more sets! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! . When you start a workout and hear all you have to do to get to the end, it can feel like climbing a mountain. . One ☝🏻 step at a time. One block at a time. One round at a time. I took the thought of EIGHT out of my mind and thought ONE. This one. The one I’m doing in any given moment. That’s the one to focus on. . The same is true in our health journey. Don’t look at the mountain for too long sisters. Focus on the step at hand. Take it. And take another.
