HOW ARE YOU DOING? . . Seriously, how are you? I’ve definitely had better days to be honest 😅. I miss my family so much and it’s been breaking my heart not being able to see them but I know it’s important to practice social distancing right now. It’s doesn’t make it any less hard. I, like everyone else, had so many things planned out this year that had to be cancelled which sucks. We are all going through this and just a friendly reminder to everyone: your feelings ARE VALID. I almost didn’t post this 😅. Our studio is a mess, my energy levels have been extremely down, and I overall was just not feeling it. But guess what? That’s life 🤷🏻‍♀️. We live in a 250 sqft studio as most of you know. To the left is our bed and where my husband is standing and filming me is our kitchen. This place is tiny 😂. However I’m so incredibly thankful and blessed to have a roof over my head and a small space to move my body for workouts. We are definitely doing what we can to stay positive and active 💪. Since our entire world got flipped upside down recently I’ve been trying to be more forgiving with myself 🙏 I can see my body changing little by little everyday and for once In my life I’m okay with it. I’m just trying to make it by each day. Sometimes I have insane motivation with my eating habits and workouts and other days I’m crying and eating too many snacks. And you know what, that’s okay!! Major shoutout to everyone out there that is struggling during this time. Whatever you are going through right now I’m so sorry. And I send all my love 🙏. I just want you to know that your feelings are valid. I’m tired of seeing people saying stuff like “stop complaining. All you have to do is stay at home”. While this is true, some people are going through a lot. Businesses closing down, loss of income due to people being let go, fear of not being able to pay bills, fear for health.... the list goes on. Just remember to be kind to another ❤️. We all going through it fam. Nearly had a panic attack today before I hoped in my car and drove somewhere secluded to walk. I get it. I feel you. I understand. Try and get creative y’all! 💪😆. Luckily we had a 15 pound bag of rice in our home which I used for my squat and press! It wasn’t that bad at all 😂🙌! I’m also super proud of myself for them pushups 🤯! This full body workout from @sweat was literally just what I needed today. I had a pretty rough day at work, was feeling stressed out over a few things, and honestly didn’t want to do this. But once I got into the workout, I put some good music on and gave it my all! It feels so good to sweat! These workouts aren’t just for me to lose weight, they help so much with my mental health. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been super down lately. Working from home, getting pushed out of routine, and not being able to go to the gym has sucked majorly. Although I do know how important it is to practice social distancing during this time 🙏. So right now I’ve been trying to come up with a new routine which is walking for at least 20 minutes during my lunch break and working out after my shift ends at 5pm. I sit on the floor and work from 9am-5pm on my computer so it’s important for me to move my body daily 💪. These exercises don’t look pretty 😂 but I’m out here trying my best and working with what I got! Hey friends!!! Update Time! I hate to do this but I know it’s whats best for everyone during this time. After having a long conversation with @dietbet , I decided I’m postponing our next game until April 6th. Most of us are transitioning into working at home and figuring out how to incorporate our exercises with our current living situations. And I don’t want to make anyone feel rushed when they aren’t certain what their overall plans are for keeping up their health and fitness goals. I feel like this will give us all a better fighting chance to reach our weight-loss goals together. I’m so proud of myself I could literally cry right now 😭. I’ve been living this year slowly slipping into darkness and it’s been all consuming. But today instead of going back into my routine of buying snacks and being lazy, I decided to break myself out. I got out an old outside chair cushion and used it as my mat😂. Hey it work 🤷🏻‍♀️! I also took advantage of the fact that the @sweat app can be used at home. I have horrible cramps today, my house is an absolute mess but I got it done. And I’m so proud. This was a big moment for me. 🥺🙏. If you can, please make sure you are setting up steps to ensure that your routine stays the same. Needed this so much today 😊☝️! Im determined to make this weekend as healthy as possible! Usually on Fridays I like to take a rest day which usually leads to me not being active all weekend. But today I got myself down to the gym to do at least a 30 min walk on the treadmill 🚶‍♀️. It might not seem like much but mentally it meant a ton to me 🙌. I’m taking small steps to set a great tone for my weekend! I want to earn my tally marks for staying on track 😁 (I’m now marking my personal calendar with little tally marks for each day I stay on track). I believe that having these visuals will help me 😊.
