Several minutes after this picture was taken, I had to drive 15mph in a 40 because I couldn't see 10ft in front of my car. Exciting and terrifying at the same time, I wouldn't mind doing it over again. ๐Ÿƒ #ozarks #igersarkansas #wonderfularkansas at Ozark National Forest

Did a little overnighter this week in my favorite place to kick off Fall. Props to @tiffany_leeman for cooking the best camp meal I've ever eaten! Sirloin with mashed potatoes, sauteed onion, zucchini, squash and mushrooms! Speaking of, you should go follow her new page @fromyamtoyum and make some tasty (vegetarian) meals of your own! #buffalonationalriver #camping #wonderfularkansas #autumn at Buffalo National River

The Milky Way in all her celestial glory. We spent a night under the stars witnessing this, possibly for the last clear time this year, before it darkens out of view. A perfect way to send off summer and say hello to fall. โœจ #milkywaychasers #buffalonationalriver #wonderfularkansas at Buffalo National River

A herd of Elk captured along the Buffalo River in Boxley Valley. It's impossible to drive past these beautiful animals without stopping for pictures and seeing them graze in the meadows. We sat off the side of the road and watched at least 20 of these majestic creatures enjoy their day. Another reason of many why the Buffalo River is my favorite place in Arkansas. #igersarkansas #wonderfularkansas #buffalonationalriver at Boxley, Arkansas

Can't beat a night well spent under the stars! This was taken around 10pm on Big Bluff. Its crazy what moonlight can do to make a night shot look like daylight. ๐ŸŒ’ #igersarkansas #wonderfularkansas #buffalonationalriver at Buffalo National River

Guys... The trees are starting to change and I'm freaking out a little bit. Cheers to my favorite season starting up! Here's a shot of the beautiful Buffalo last November. Bring on the colors and Fall campsites! ๐Ÿ #igersarkansas #wonderfularkansas #autumn at Buffalo National River

The lone dead tree. For some reason I always find these beautiful. They're important to the forest in their own way. But in the west, particularly Montana, they are becoming more common by the second. Unless you've been living under a rock, you know about Hurricane Harvey and the tragedy it has caused in Texas. To make matters worse, Hurricane Irma (now a Category 5) is barreling straight for the Carribean and Florida, prompting the state to declare emergency procedures to prepare for the impending storm. But while part of the country floods and another prepares for torrential rains, Montana (a state experiencing a severe drought) and parts of the pacific northwest, along with California, are literally burning up. 40+ fires have burned 800,000+ acres in Montana alone. Homes have become piles of ash. Farmers and ranchers have lost a way of life. Pristine forest and habitat have been destroyed. Lives have been lost. 4000 firefighters and guardsmen are risking everything, every day to contain the uncontainable. But the saddest part of it all is the lack of national news coverage. Irma has yet to make landfall but is already on every headline news story. Houston is receiving billions of dollars in aid and the support across the country is truly amazing. I'm not trying to downplay a situation or make one any more important than the other, just simply trying to bring light to a topic that has been kept in the dark. These families who lost everything will never be the same, much like the ones who are suffering in Texas. Pray for rain in Montana and everywhere in the country that is enduring fire. Think of those that will have to endure Irma in the coming days. Realize how lucky you are to have what you have. #wildfire #hurricane #endure at United States

Happy Labor Day guys. If you're fortunate enough to be off today, I hope you enjoy it in a beautiful place, or on your couch, or wherever you feel like being. It's September now which means we are getting closer to my favorite time of the year by the day! ๐Ÿ #igersarkansas #buffalonationalriver #wonderfularkansas at Big Bluff

Looking back on older videos, clearing up some space on my phone. Really wishing I was reliving this moment right now! Sun, water, and peace of mind. ๐Ÿ˜Ž #buffalonationalriver #arkansas #floating at Buffalo National River

I don't have Snapchat and honestly I don't know how to use Instagram's stories and never really messed with it... But I do take videos sometimes! I wanted to show you guys a glimpse of what it is like to be up on Big Bluff. This is about an hour before sunset really kicked in. Our campsite was along this same bluff a couple hundred yards down the ledge. It will truly take your breath away seeing this for the first time, andddd every time afterwards. #buffalonationalriver #goattrail #arkansas at Big Bluff

This past weekend was my second attempt at night sky and astrophotography. Conditions weren't what we hoped for, but it allowed us to get creative and try new things. After fending off sharp moonlight and cloudy skies, the Milky Way finally made an appearance above camp. Even though it wasn't the clearest night, we made the most of it and patiently waited out the best moments to shoot. I'm just fortunate in the first place that I was able to sit on that ledge, away from city lights and cell service, and look up and see the infinite beauty of a starry sky. I always cherish these moments of happiness. โœจ #buffalonationalriver #milkyway #stars at Buffalo National River

An otherworldly sunset captured high above the Buffalo River this weekend. Looking out towards Bee Bluff and Steel Creek from the Goat Trail, possibly the best campsite I've ever had. ๐ŸŒ„ #buffaloriver #sunset #wonderfularkansas at Buffalo National River

More candid moments from New York; having fun finding the human element. I love everything about this photo. It screams happiness, youth, and all things good. A flash of bliss frozen in time. The opportunities to capture special, yet commonplace occasions like this one, are endless in such an eclectic place as Central Park. #nyc #centralpark #bethesdaterrace at Central Park

One of the most satisfying things about editing a photo is seeing all the new elements that you didn't notice when you first took the picture. I originally took this photo focusing on the arch, but taking a closer look, what I love most about this photo are the people. Something so quintessentially New York. The people that make up that city, and every city. When I go places I tend to focus on the natural beauty or the architecture, depending on the location. Unfortunately, I tend to miss the people that make up these places. New York has amazing sights but even more amazing people. The mix of cultures all while being so "American" at the same time. I bet I heard at least 6 different languages in this park alone. I now am looking at every picture I captured from this trip (and others) in a whole new light, and loving every second of it. Finding the human aspect creates a completely different feeling than what I originally aimed to capture in the first place. #nyc #greenwichvillage #manhattan at Washington Square Park
