Farrah loves her great grandma so much.

I met my GI for the first time this week. She is awesome. She constantly stayed in the neurological side of gastroenterology and was very knowledgeable in Dysaudonomia. I had to do blood work and the doc forgot to put on the order to use my port so unfortunately the only good veins left on my arms got blown. I have a bunch of GI testing to do before the year is over. I'll keep you all updated as things progress.

Meet up #2 while on our trip to Disneyland with @sirius.service.dog was with @theworkingviolet & @theroyaldoberman Farrah wasn't her best for this meet up. I put it up to being at Disney for four days straight, the loud noises from the live concert we passed in Downtown Disney and me missing her alert and going into hypertension crisis. All the handlers were very understanding but I think another meet up is in hand to show Farrah on a normal day. I know my dogs worst is most pet dogs best but still. I think we just pushed her limits to far that day. She is totally fine now. By the way I wasn't able to get pictures from this meet up because I almost passed out at this exact moment when the dogs were posing. So I stole this picture from my best friends Snapchat. at Disneyland

Arial loved visiting with our four legged friends. These two dogs are doing so amazing this week at Disneyland with all the characters and rides. They are able to task through all the hectic crowds and we really appreciate them. With out them we wouldn't be able to do fun things like this. at Disney California Adventure Park

How many wheelchairs can you spot? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My new wheelchair set up is finally finished. My mom made me a Minnie Mouse seat cover for while at Disneyland and I have a SmartDrive to help me get around. This isn't my permanent SmartDrive because my insurance still needs to approve it but my durable medical equipment company was able to loan me one for my Disneyland trip. I feel like a kid again practicing using it on the street in front of my house. πŸ˜‚

Today starts the month of October and this month is very important to me for many reasons. It's my birthday month, Halloween time, & also Dysautonomia awareness month. Dysautonomia is an umbrella term used to describe several different medical conditions that cause a malfunction of the Autonomic Nervous System. I have a form called Hyperadrenergic Postual Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. This means that my autonomic nervous system is programed to be hyperactive. This causes me to have extremely high tachycardia, be in stage 3-4 hypertension, hyperthermia, hyperhidrosis and many other Hyper symptoms. This illness has been the main cause to why I'm disabled and need a service dog and a wheelchair. So far there is know cure and even if we don't find a cure in my lifetime I believe it is so important to raise awareness for this illness. Can you believe that I run into doctors all the time who have never heard of Dysautonomia? I just want the world to better understand this illness so that people like me don't get miss diagnosed just like I was for many years. This is not an anxiety disorder and needs to be taken seriously by physicians. Help me raise awareness this month by sharing your Dysautonomia story. #Dysautonomia #PosturalOrthostaticTachycardiaSyndrome #hyperposite #spoonielife
