This photo was taken by our realtors as we prepare to sell our home! We’re hoping to get it sold quickly! 🤞🏼We are so excited to be moving to our farmhouse, but I am already getting nostalgic about all the work we put into building this home from the ground up. Happy Monday, friends!
All I need today is a little bit of coffee, and a whole lotta Jesus. ☕️🙌🏼 My favorite part of the morning has turned into picking out a coffee thanks to @crazycups. Seriously, I looked forward to it. Does that make me weird?? 🤔 Their gourmet flavored coffee gets me up, I’m telling you! If you haven’t discovered them yet, you need to. Trust me. You’re welcome. 😄
It’s really hard to get a good photo of a room with no natural light, but I get a lot of questions about our basement bathroom. The vanity is from @wayfair and I love it!! Tap once for other sources.
The Monday morning following the daylight savings time change calls for a few trips to the coffee bar. ☕️We have a big announcement at The Sycamore Farmhouse, and I’m hoping to be able to share tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful start to your week, friends!! 💕
I’m doing a little #throwbackthursday today to share one of my favorite projects from our basement remodel for #cottonstemheartsdoors. I stained, then distressed this door using vaseline and paint. It was a labor of love. 💕 You don’t have to spend hundred to get a custom look barn door! The little bench was an easy no sew #DIY project. Also, this is my absolute favorite sign from my buddy Laney @pine.and.birch 📚 We’re headed out of town tonight to watch our boys play in the state basketball tourney, but if you saw my stories, we have a big announcement with lots of change coming soon to The Sycamore Farmhouse! Stay tuned! 😘
How do you feel about mixing metals in home design? I’m a big fan! When I was designing this space, my husband was worried about how the antique brass faucet and handles would look with the black and galvanized metal accessories. But now he loves it, and it’s one thing people always comment on when they visit. When’s he going to learn that I’m always right? 😂 To be fair, after voicing his opinions he does mostly let me do what I want design wise which makes building a house a lot easier!
A date night with the husband look. We went out this weekend to a comedy club, which I love to do for something different and fun. What’s your favorite date night?? To get the product details for this look and others, follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. You can also click on the link in my profile to shop my look. I’ve linked up this sweater and another similar one, as I don’t think it’s available in this color at the moment. Also, if you haven’t noticed, I link up at least one of my favorite books in each post! 📚 Check out my recommendations! 😘 #liketkit http://liketk.it/2uLvp @liketoknow.it
I have not shared this view of our refinished basement before. We finally settled on a TVstand, and I love how it looks in our space. The coffee table here was a black leather ottoman that I chalk painted. You can check out that #diy in my saved stories. Screenshot or 'like' this pic to shop the product details from the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, available now from the App Store! Along with some of my favorites products from some friends, I’ve also been tagging some of my favorite books in each photo. I hope you’ll check out my reading list recommendations and let me know what you think! ❤️📚 #bibliophile http://liketk.it/2uLEd #liketkit @liketoknow.it
It’s Friday!! 🙌🏼 Woohoo!! None of us, Dwight 😸 included, wanted to get out of bed this morning. But, we’re up and off, and tonight we’re headed to a comedy show, if the weather cooperates. What are your weekend plans?
A business casual knit dress and leggings is easily dressed up with a blazer. A blazer and dress is my favorite combo, and a go-to look any time of the year. What’s your favorite easy look that you go back to over and over? Tell me below! I’m always looking for recommendations!
I made these apple pie roses a while ago, and I think it’s time to make them again! So easy and so pretty. I’m sharing them for #moveitupmonday because apparently I’m craving something sweet right now. 😍
We’re at home today following an ice storm overnight. I’m trying to work on writing, but I’m distracted by the strong desire to do literally nothing. 😂 Also, I found a new show which you really should check out if you haven’t. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel 📺 on Amazon has me hooked. I’m not one to get into TV shows, but this one is funny plus has awesome fashion so... 🤷🏻♀️😄
Candles and hot tea tonight while we watch a movie. We’re in another winter storm warning and expecting a bit more snow. We’re over here trying to get well and snuggling in for the weekend. What’s your favorite kind of tea? Lady Gray is at the top of my list, but truly I enjoy nearly any good cuppa. Share your recommendations with me in comments!
When you’re home sick, nothing is better than a hot tea, a good book, and a cozy spot to sit and watch the snow fall. I’m actually stuck in bed while my dad is here watching my little man, who is also home sick. We’re trying to contain it. But at least I have my tea and books. ☕️📚 I usually get lots of questions on my dining room table. If you’ve followed me for a while you may remember this is a vintage piece from my grandmother that I refinished. Nearly everything in our dining room is vintage. The chairs, table, and table cloth are all from my grandmother or my husband’s. The rug is from Turkey when my grandmother lived there. I adore having these pieces of history in our home.
What did you guys do for the super bowl last night?? We spent the evening with my sister, and I’ll admit I got some quality time with my book. 😄 It was with some reluctance I crawled out of this cozy bed this morning, only to find a kiddo with a fever. Again. 🤦🏻♀️ So we’re home, and we’re hoping this passes soon. Here’s hoping you all have a great Monday. ☕️
My hubby took the kiddo on Saturday and I got the whole day to myself. Morning writing time followed by an afternoon of good food, good coffee, and shopping with my bestie. Weekend alone time calls for mom jeans and cozy knits. Also, this adorable pocket tee with an embroidered bird on it makes me happy! 😂 I sized up and got a large so it would be a bit loose. What are you all up to this weekend? To get the product details for this look and others, follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app @liketoknow.it.home @liketoknow.it #liketkit http://liketk.it/2uvlH
The first time my kitchen has been clean in weeks must be documented. 🙌🏼 We’re heading to my sister’s tonight for dinner, so there’s a chance it may stay this way for at least a day. 😂 Every time I post my kitchen, I get a ton of comments about how refreshing it is to see a kitchen without white cabinets. These are a pine cabinet with custom stain from our builders. The flooring is the same stain, diluted slightly. We really love the warmth of our kitchen, so they’ll stay this way for the foreseeable future. Happy weekend, friends!
