Tip Tuesday 🌟 Decorative baskets are a great way to store bulky blankets when not in use so they aren’t taking over your entire living space but are still within arms reach when you want to use them. Plus, they’re a great decorative accent for any room! 🧺
Linen closets, no matter how big or small, should always be functional. ✨ Throwing it back to one of my favorite linen closet transformations to date. 👊🏼 For this project, it was important to take everything out and identify the items that were no longer used or needed. Then we grouped like items into zones to make everything easy to find and access. We used baskets that my client already had on hand to store fitted sheets, beach towels and blankets. (Swipe for before 👉🏼)
Organization doesn’t have to break the bank and I think there is a perception that getting organized requires a bunch of fancy products. 🤔 While there are a handful of products that can help improve the functionality of a space, most of the time the biggest factor is that there is simply too much stuff to begin with. Want to get organized but not sure where to begin? Start by clearing out the clutter. I bet you will be amazed at how big of an impact this step alone has on your space. 🙌🏼
There’s nothing like a fully stocked fridge to start the week! Who else agrees? 🍎🍊🌽🥑🍇
Also, I’m pretty sure I could stare at @lifebyleanna’s beautifully organized fridge all day long... #isthatweird #justbeinghonest 🤣🤷🏼♀️
How are you spending your Sunday?!
Nothing makes me happier than opening a drawer that is simple and calm. Anyone else? 💆🏼♀️
Thanksgiving is officially 3 days away...do you know where all your essential cooking utensils are at? If you haven’t already, set aside a few minutes to locate everything you will need so Thanksgiving prep is a breeze and you spend less time looking for what you need and more time with your loved ones on this special holiday. 🦃❤️
Clear shoe bins are a great way to store off-season or additional shoe storage because they’re stackable, keep the dust away and allow you to easily see everything you have. 👠✨
Can you believe there’s only 6 more weeks until Christmas? 😱 Whether you’re ready or not, the holidays are quickly approaching and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years it’s that the earlier I start to plan, the less anxious I feel leading up to Christmas which makes the holiday season a lot more enjoyable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are a few tips to help you feel more prepared as the holiday season begins:
🌟 Designate a space for all your gift wrapping essentials and check to see if there’s anything you’re running low on that you need to restock. (Ps. How dreamy is this behind-the-door gift wrap station in @kelleynan’s closet? 🤩)
🌟 Create a master gift list with everyone you need to buy a gift for. Even if you don't have every gift idea nailed down just yet, this will make the brainstorming process a lot easier!
🌟 Sit down with your calendar and schedule all upcoming activities including any holiday parties or family traditions. It can also be helpful to set deadlines for mailing Christmas cards or if you plan on sending any gifts to family that lives out of town.
🌟 Set a budget for your holiday expenses. Make a list of everything you can think of that you will need to spend money on like cards, gifts, wrapping paper, parties, food and holiday decor. Then determine how much you want to spend on these expenses and set a budget to help you stay on track.
🌟 Look at your list of holiday expenses and determine which items you can buy online versus in store. There are always a lot of great online sales going on (especially for Black Friday and Cyber Monday) so not only will this save you time but will likely save you some money, too!
What’s something you do to help you feel more prepared for the holidays?🎄🎁🎅🏼
Tip Tuesday 🌟 Keep a bag in your closet designated for items you are planning to donate. Once the bag is full, it’s time to haul it away!
Ever since I decided to do this in my own closet, I’ve found that I’m more frequently on the lookout for items to donate and more motivated to let things go as the bag fills up.
This beautiful laundry caddy from @clever_made is the perfect solution for my donation storage because it’s durable, can hold two loads of laundry worth of clothing and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
Also, if you haven’t already checked out all the space-saving products that CleverMade has to offer, head over to my latest blog post for a full review of their most popular storage solutions and how I like to use them to make day-to-day life a little less hectic. 😉 (link in bio!)
Cold and flu season is upon us my friends 🤧 and while this may not necessarily be a time of the year that many of us look forward to, having all of your medicines organized and within easy reach *may* just make this season of sickness a little more bearable. 🤞🏼
What do you feel whenever you open a drawer, a kitchen cabinet, a closet door? Are you overwhelmed by what’s inside, or do you feel at peace because you know exactly where everything is? Being honest with yourself in identifying the areas in your home that cause overwhelm, and are not helping you live your best life, is the first step in creating a home where you and your family can truly thrive and flourish. ✨
Plus, who wouldn’t love to open a cabinet this beautiful and functional?! So obsessed with this dinnerware setup by @horderly. 😍 Also, quick shout out to the brilliant human being that invented shelf risers...you, my friend, are the real MVP. 🙌🏼
While I may be one of few that still enjoys flipping through magazines, as with any type of collection, it can be very easy for it to get out of hand quickly. This magazine holder is a great “guide” to ensure my collection is kept to a manageable amount and I am only choosing to keep the ones I really love. Plus, finding products that double as both functional and beautiful is *always* a win in my book! 😉
Do you have any collections in your home? If so, what do you do to ensure it doesn’t get out of hand?
Looking for a solution to keep your tech essentials organized while traveling? 💻⌚️🔌 I love this organizer from @bagsmartbags because it allows me to keep all of my electronic cords in one place, tangle-free, so I can always find what I’m looking for. Plus, it’s super lightweight with plenty of storage which makes it ideal for all of your on-the-go needs! ✨

Filing papers is a task that many of us put off for a variety of reasons, but often times it’s because we make the process too burdensome to do on a regular basis. My biggest tip for keeping paper overwhelm to a minimum is to use a temporary filing system for incoming papers until you have time to take action on them. For example, you could create two categories and label one “Take Action” and the other “To File”. As mail and other papers come in throughout the week, simply place each paper in the appropriate category. Then, schedule some time each week to go through the pile. Take care of the items you need to take action on and file the rest in your long-term filing system.
Since I don’t have very many files in general, I love using this @irisusa portable file box from @thecontainerstore. It’s super lightweight, easy to move around and has more than enough room for all of my important documents.
If simplifying your files has been on your to-do list but you’re feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start, swipe 👉🏼 for a guide that outlines what documents to keep and how long to keep them, that I always find helpful to reference whenever I’m sorting through my files. 🗂✨
My biggest tip for anyone looking to organize their pantry is to always focus on keeping things visible. 👀 You don’t have to have an overabundance of product for a space to be functional (yes, I said it!). Of course there are certain products that help maximize the functionality of a space like using turntables in tricky corner spaces or adding a can riser to maximize vertical storage. But ultimately making sure that everything can be easily seen will result in less time spent searching for items, less overbuying, and less waste overall. 🙌🏼
A color coded closet not only makes it easier to find what you’re looking for, but it also creates a visual inventory of what you already have so you don’t end up with multiples of the exact same color and style of clothing! 🌈👗👕✨
I don’t buy items in bulk very often knowing that I have to find a designated place for everything I bring into my home. However, since I have a *slight* obsession with having a good smelling home at all times, I usually like to keep a few of my favorite home fragrance items on hand so I can quickly replace something as soon as it runs out!
Tell me, are there any items that you always like to have on hand in your home?
