“I attended my first Mission Continues event in May of 2018 and immediately felt like I was at home. I was welcomed with open arms and put to work. I finally felt as if I was a part of a team again, a team with a higher purpose.“ Read more from Sean on our blog—and learn more about how he donated his birthday to support our work. We had a successful service project here in Newark, New Jersey. At @bgcnewark, we painted games and activities on asphalt, painted a 2,000 square foot mural, built benches, cleared debris and planted new foliage, and installed “drug free zone” signage. Thanks to @benjaminmoore for the paint, to our community partners, and the 54 veterans who are kicking off their six months as Service Leadership Corps members! at Boys & Girls Club of Newark

“I love The Mission Continues. I love working on service projects in schools because they really need the support. I am so grateful for experiences like this because the hardest working, most high quality people I've ever met have been through serving with The Mission Continues." . . . . #reportingforduty #extrashotofgood #unitedinservice #serveagain #volunteer at Edison/Fareira High School

“Working with The Mission Continues and BUILD is one of the best decisions Harlem Park West has made. We are able to accomplish projects of greater magnitude - projects that our community otherwise would not have the capacity to tackle!” #unitedinservice #veterans #serveagain #givingback #reportingforduty #911day

“Being #UnitedInService is meaningful to me because it is a great way to reconnect with my service in the Marine Corps. Being a part of something bigger than yourself, putting the team and the mission above all, experiencing true camaraderie... these can be hard to come by in the civilian world. Helping on this project allowed me to step back in time a bit and experience them again.”

It’s a tough life, being a part of the Oahu Platoon, but someone’s got to do it! #flashbackfriday to the wonderful #nakoaregatta, an annual event in Waikiki that raises money for wounded veterans & their families. It’s an honor to be a part of it, and we love the opportunity to meet other VSOs working on the island, which can lead to teaming up for events in the future. Want to join the platoon at their next event? Head to the link in our bio! #whatsnext 🤙🏽🌺🚣🏽‍♂️ at Waikiki, Hawaii
