Tomorrow 🔜 #PWRBLD . What is PWRBLD? -PWRBLD is a community for those who want to lift heavy and get strong like a powerlifter but also build muscle and improve aesthetics like a bodybuilder. Why seclude yourself to one way of training when you enjoy both and want more than one thing from your training. PWRBLD is going to offer you daily workouts everyday (Monday-Friday), yes I said workouts, plural. Each day three workouts will be posted. One will be strictly Powerlifting (PWR), one will be strictly bodybuilding (BLD), and the third will be the PWRBLD workout which will consist of both training styles. 3 options each day, you pick your workout! . Exercise Library -You will have access to a video exercise library just in case you have any questions on proper technique for a prescribed exercise. New exercises will be updating weekly. . Barbell Tools -If you’re anything like me you probably have an app for 1RM calculator, RPE calculator, LB / KG conversion, but now you will have access to all of these at one place, the PWRBLD membership! . Mobility / Injury Prevention w/ The Muscle Mechanic: -Learn helpful techniques to improve your mobility and also aid in injury prevention from a true expert in his field, @pjnewcomb aka The Muscle Mechanic. . BLOG: PWRBLD blogs from yours truly along with many others in the Powerlifting / Bodybuilding community. . Meet Checklist: -I think we all get anxious during Meet week or especially Meet day. Use the PWRBLD meet Checklist to make sure you have everything needed to compete and perform your best. . LOVE YOUR TRAINING: -Why not take advantage of multiple training styles. Shoutout to @pickthingsup_putthemdown on his comeback performance after a torn bicep about 8 months ago. He ended up going 7/9 (717/480/735) winning 1st in his class and taking home Best Overall Lifter, and crushed the State Record Total. Proud of this guy, it’s not easy coming back after a big setback but he kept working, stayed positive and it all paid off this past weekend. Now we get him ready for Raw Nationals where I know he will make some noise with the other big boys. Besides low bar or high bar....❓what squat variation do you prefer the most? I’m a huge pause squat fan. Nothing better to develop explosive power than a pause. I’d say tempo squats are right behind pauses for me. Tempos will really teach you how to maintain tightness and positioning.
