These smiles make our efforts worth it. Thank you for your support and continued efforts in giving back 🙏
Never short of smiles here! I reckon there are enough smiles here to light up the entire planet! The children are all smiles because here, the key ingredient is love. Unconditionally accepted, equally treated & ambitiously supported. Deenbandhu school is the top school in Karnataka & here they deliver science programs around the country. But aside from that, at Deenabandhu home, you are also encouraged to learn music, art and dance.
We had an amazing day today sharing yoga with the children, listening to poetry, watching dance and singing together. These smiles... they are the real McCoy.
It is the effect of your support for @yogagivesback 🙏🏽 massive thank you’s! Let’s keep these smiles going!
Repost from @anoukprop Namaste and thank you for sharing your continued support and efforts in giving back 🙏
EDUCATION IS LIKE HAVING GOLD IN HAND
Education is a precious good for the orphans at Deenabandhu and the children from the poor surrounding villages in Chamarajanagar. It is once described by Sandeep, one of the former Deenabandhu boys as like having gold in hand. As a young boy Sandeep was not able to go to school due to child labor and only at a later age when he arrived at Deenabandhu he could finally go to school. He studied so hard for many years with the support of a scholarship for higher education of @yogagivesback, graduated last year as the best of his class and is having a successful job now in Bangalore. Watch his touching story and that of other SHE students that YGB is supporting here:
Yesterday we met with over 60 of the 90 SHE students that YGB is funding with scholarships and had a very interesting sharing with them on the importance of education. Besides that it can help to make your dreams come true & to lead life, it’s also a powerful tool for change in society with which you can help poor people and create change. Precious as gold in our hand. “Education is the most powerful weapon which use can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela -
Together we can join hands making a change and help a child reach the sky. Are you with us? Please donate on my personal fundraiser for YGB to help Indian orphans reach the sky:

Namaste 🙏 and thank you for sharing and embracing the journey
Arrived Bangalore on Wednesday and connected to all other YGB Ambassador on this #sevatrip .Met Kayoko for the first time even though we felt like we have known each other for years •
@yogagivesback’s mission is to mobilise the global yoga community by empowering women and children to build sustainable livelihoods. We provide micro loans and education funds to the impoverished women and children in India. It is my way of giving back to India where yoga originates from. Yoga has given me not only a platform to share my passion but it also helped me on so many levels off my mat.
The aim of this trip is to see where the funds go to and how it has made a difference in the lives who has come under our programs. We had the opportunity to meet the first SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education) recipient, Guruprasad, whose mother was one of the micro loans recipient and it was her dream (and his) to be a doctor. •
Guru graduated and is now a oral surgeon in a distinguished hospital in Bangalore helping less fortunate ones. Click on the link in bio to watch his journey. A very inspiring young man, one of more than 1300 lives YGB’s global communities supports ♥️♥️♥️ #yogagivesback #womenempowerment #givingbacktothecommunity #inspiringstories #ygbambassador #ambassadors
Repost from @veganrebelyogini Thank you and Namaste 🙏 Yoga Gives Back Seva India trip day 2 - Deenabandhu
Yesterday we were all so moved when we arrived at the orphanage and were welcomed by all the children who were so so eager to see us all🙏🏽
They made flower ornaments and cards for us and it was just the warmest welcome.
The “help mothers” made us a delicious dinner, a special feast also for them. Professor Jayadev, the founder of the orphanage and a father to all these 100 children is such a wise and humble person. We sat with him and listened to his beautiful words which were so inspirational.
The children at the orphanage all carry traumatic experiences and to be without a caring parent especially for the very young ones, to not have a mother Is very hard. But thankfully they are in an orphanage were they are received with love and acceptance.
Thanks to the loving care at the orphanage and the opportunities that @yogagivesback offers them, these children can get through schooling and higher education and can create a promising future for themselves.
If you want to be part of their hopeful future you have the opportunity to do so through YGB: https://yoga-gives-back.networkforgood.com 🙏🏽

Seva Trip to NGO partner Deenabandhu Home started with precious satsang with its Founder Prof JAYADEV. “Detachment is the core teaching of Indian spirituality.” “One thing I want children to take from this home is LOVE.” We will stay here for 3 nights meeting children, SHE scholarship students and women we support here. Delighted to share how your contribution is truly making an incredible positive impact in so many lives. #sevatrip #gratitudechallenge #ygb #yogagivesback #yoga #meditation
“I am the seed, you are the water which nurtured me into a tree. Now I am a tree that can serve thousands of people.” --Dr Guruprasad, YGB’s first SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education) graduate student. Guru graduated from a Medical college last year and now works as an emergency doctor at a prestigious Sagar Hospital in Bangalore. Seva Trip Team met with Guruprasad along with other SHE graduate Jyoti who now works for a start up company supporting her mother with her income. Two brothers who graduated from YGB’s NGO partner Deenabandhu orphanage also joined the meeting. Lokesh is planning to take masters in Education and Lakshman is already a successful artist who makes YGB’s Annual Gala Namaste Award statues. It was a very emotional and inspiring time together as these youths shared how they have overcome very difficult background of poverty and now lead an independent life with hope and light. We are so moved and empowered to witness how YGB’s programs are truly transforming these youths lives. Artist Lakshman made a beautiful Meditation sculpture and gifted for all of us. We all shared gratitude and humbleness by connecting each other as a growing YGB family. Big thanks to @andyiyer Anand Varadaraj who hosted this meeting as a long time YGB INDIA Representative. #sevatrip Sevatrip
